Our stay October, 2019
The cottage was cosy and warm and bedding and towels were very clean. The parking space was a bonus as the road in front of the cottage was extremely busy during the day time, fortunately quiet at night. There was no shower as advertised, we assumed because it had been leaking into the kitchen due to the tiles in the bathroom not being finished off behind the bath and toilet. Upstairs was much cleaner than downstairs. It looked as though two different people had prepared the cottage for our visit. The dining area was quite dirty. The table was filthy and the contents of the cupboards were very dusty and they smelled mouldy. The cupboards in the kitchen had not been cleaned inside or out since last occupants and all their rubbish was still outside in black bin bags and soggy cardboard boxes. The outdoor seating area was like a dumping ground with bits of wood, broken equipment, discarded pots and plenty of weeds. The weather wasn't great (not their fault, of course) so we couldn't sit out there but it was an eyesore from the kitchen window. Little tweaking will go a long way.
