This beautiful barn has been rejuvenated by the owners to provide a large kingsize bedroom on the ground floor with a ground floor wet room. Upstairs is the open plan living, kitchen and dining area, with Juliette balcony allowing you to look at the stunning countryside whilst having your meal. The well-equipped kitchen gives you the option of cooking some of the wonderful local produce if you do not fancy eating out, then pop it in the dishwasher to save washing up. Outside you can laze in the quiet private garden on the sun loungers or enjoy an al fresco evening meal. The washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are in the outbuilding.
Located in the small village of Trew near Helston it is the first place that China Clay was quarried and is steeped in history from the Stone age Fort on the top of Tregonning Hill to the murals of Breage Church, 20 mins walk away. The impressive Godolphin Estate is just a two mile walk away, now a National Trust house it is well worth a visit. Here you can wander along the garden paths steeped in history built by Sir Francis Godolphin in the 16th Century comprising of The King’s Garden, The Side Garden, the Paddock, and the Orchard. Covering over 500 acres including woodland fields, open countryside, and gardens there is plenty for you and your four-legged friend to explore.
Another fantastic day out is to visit St Michael’s Mount just a 20-minute drive away, and the ancient market town of Marazion. Check the tide tables as you reach the castle by crossing a causeway at mid tide and low water or hop on a boat, discover the legend, myth and over a thousand years of incredible history. Whilst you are here pop into Marazion, wander around the cobbled streets, stop and admire the views whilst eating a pasty or ice cream, lots of independent shops to explore and buy some souvenirs. You will also be tempted by the cafés and pubs selection of local produce. Beach 4 miles.
