Inaccurate description of bedroom/bathroom configuration on website. Bedroom 1 with double bed, Freeview TV is advertised with en-suite shower room and WC. However the en-suite was in the twin room and could never have been in the double bedroom as there was no space. We made it work for us but it did cause some unsettling at times. We also felt that the bedrooms were more appropriate for a family with parents and 3 children as there were only 3 hand towels and the twin and single bedrooms only had one pillow per bed which is not the expected provision for adults. We found a thicker double duvet but nothing more for the single beds which would not be adequate for bookings later the year or early Spring. The living area was fantastic and our dog enjoyed the garden. The kitchen was spacious but again the provision of dishes poor. The measuring jug was only 300ml and the serving bowls were only adequate for 2 adults not 5 as advertised. However, we found that the baking trays were too large for the oven! There were 9 mugs (provision of a dishwasher infers inclusion of more) and a very odd assortment of glasses such that we could never have 5 of the same glasses (for juice or wines). The location was excellent but we have come to expect high standards and this did not quite match up. With previous cottages we have been very lucky with provision of hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen, plenty of towels and often local produce (we did receive a pint of milk, a few tea bags, sugar sticks and some biscuits on arrival) but it just felt that this cottage was offering the basic and nothing more.
Absolutely fabulous place, we all enjoyed our break and stay at the Caddie.
We loved Cornwall. But didn’t feel the cottage was as high a standard of cottages we’ve stayed in before.
Lovely, clean and spacious, good location.
the bungalow was very clean with fresh towels and milk and tea and coffee on arrival, which was a nice touch, plenty of room and a large garden for our dog to run around safely, I would recommend this let to anyone.
Great place to stay. Ideally located near to beach. Accommodation is great with plenty of space. Third bed is a little compact, seemed to be like an afterthought and tight on space. Overall would definitely recommend and would stay again
Lovely, clean and well equipped spacious bungalow. Very comfortable. Good size garden for the dog. Nice view. Forty minutes drive to Seaton and St. Mawes. Tesco close by. As was Charlestown. Carlyon Bay beach needs attention but that’s with the developer. Favourite beach is Carne. We found the shower pressure a tad low but that might be because our system may be different at home. Leaving the property required a bit of care on to the road as it’s near bends. We had a great time here and would highly recommend. Hopefully we hope to return soon.
We spent a week at Caddie in early march, what a great place to stay. We were really impressed with how clean and well equipped the bungalow was. Kitchen area plenty of space and very well equipped. Garden fully fenced in so great for our dog. Has two bedrooms and bathrooms also has a great size lounge with comfortable seating, good size TV. Efficient heating, lovely and cozy. Would highly recommend and would have no hesitation to stay again. Plenty of local facilities for shopping and takeaways. Great base to travelling around Cornwall, North coast only a forty minute drive and central enough for South coast travel. Highly recommended.
Our stay December, 2019
Very good place for a break, nicely placed in East Cornwall, close to the beach and SW coast path - great place to walk the dog (cottage is pet friendly). Well equipped and very clean. Small issue was that the instructions to get there do not work when coming from the west (as I guess most folks do) using satnav. It would be better/in addition to add approach from Cypress Lane, up the hill, under the railway bridge and 3rd driveway on the right.
