Lovely holiday, peaceful location
Mattress cover on double bed needs washed
Windows were not clean, the kitchen was in a dark corner, the toilet seat was nearly falling off, the fridge needs replacing very noisy and wet inside fridge. No leaflets provided to tell you what's on in the area and the patio out the back needs attention. Apart from that everything good.
Compact but comfortable. The sea is just a short walk away. Few amenities nearby but Charlestown is less than half an hour's walk or 10 minutes drive away. We were quite comfortable throughout our stay.
Had a lovely stay in the bunker. Ideal space for a couple and a dog. Nice easy walks in both directions and close enough to st Austell.
We were abit disappointed after being told the Carlyon Bay beach was dog friendly all year to find out that it isn't from Easter to October this was the only reason we booked this property for beach location. I had also been informed there was a hair dryer so didn't take my own to save space but i couldnt find one so called the agents and it was all arranged very quickly and had a hair dryer brought to us first thing the following day 5 star service. Also found the mattress on the hard side. Otherwise it was a lovely stay with a beautiful beach and sea and great coast path walks to Charles town and duporth. The lost gardens of heligan and pinetum gardens are worth a visit.
Bunker is a converted garage, attached to the bungalow which can be rented separately or together. For separate rentals the adjoining door does not provide sufficient privacy.
Our stay October, 2019
Cottage was lovely and the location excellent. Only thing missing was a washing machine. Would definitely return and recommend this to anyone. Had a problem with the TV, phoned to let them know and it was sorted asap
