This beautifully presented, detached bungalow sits in the owner’s well-established garden and has two of Cornwall’s loveliest gardens within a short walk. This area of Cornwall is inundated with many tourist attractions, pretty coastal villages and resorts; from Fowey to Mevagissey the whole of St Austell Bay is dotted with secret coves and secluded beaches, such as Menabilly made famous by Daphne du Maurier. The village of Charlestown, frequently used as a film and TV set, is just a stroll away from the holiday property, and has several good places to eat right on the ancient quayside which is the home to the Tall Ships used on many films. The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, both a must for all visitors to Cornwall, are close by and can even be visited by bike - a cycle hire centre can be found in the village of Pentewan across the bay. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 0. 25 miles.
The accommodation was superb, and the owners (Shirley and Mike) made us so welcome, we loved being there and close to everything, Thank you. Wendy Xxxxxx
Wonder hosts. Welcoming left us a bottle of wine and scones with cream and jam. Engaged in conversation when the saw us. Told about local attractions. Would go again. Was lovely to take our dog and she loved the gardens. Would recommend to anyone.
Excellent stay quiet location very well equipped cottage we couldn't have asked for more.
Loved staying at this cottage- a real home from home. Would highly recommend it.
Location is good close to Eden Project. Easy to visit lots of other attractions and beaches/harbours. Pub 10mins walk away good food. Cottage is very clean and self contained. Nice cream tea on arrival with a bottle of wine as well. Only things to mention would be the addition of a microwave would be a bonus. Also the tiles in the shower need cleaning.
Our stay October, 2019
We have stayed at this place for a few years now and always look forward to return again. The cottage is always very clean and tidy when we arrive. At the time of year when we normally go, the temperature is beginning to cool down at nights, however the cottage is central heated and soon warms up if you get cold. Mike and Shirley are the owners and live nearby and are always friendly and helpful. They supplied a cream tea and a bottle of wine which is a nice touch. Hope to return again next year.
