This charming holiday cottage is set above the working fishing harbour of Mevagissey and directly on the South West Coastal Path. With views over the harbour and down the coast, and minutes from the shops, pubs and restaurants, this cottage provides the perfect base to explore. Beaches and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, whose history is interwoven with that of the village are just minutes away. Enjoy the off road cycle trail that can lead you to the Eden Project and coastal walks. Mevagissey provides access to the Roseland Peninsula which has many secluded coves and soft sandy beaches. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
Lovely, cosy quaint cottage that has been tastefully updated to a high standard. Amazing sea views and within walking distance to all the lovely local amenities that Mevagissey has to offer.
A high quality quiet and very convenient cottage. extremely clean and well presented with high quality fixtures and fittings. Owners very accommodating. would recommend it without reservation.
Lovely week in a gorgeous fisherman’s cottage overlooking the harbour. Great location and views. Comfortable and attractively furnished. Located on a very steep hill which is only accessible by foot so not for those with mobility issues
Lovely cottage & lovely decor, could not fault a thing. Very comfortable and very well equipped. Beautiful view looking out to the harbour & everything near by. Good pubs and restaurants only a few minutes away & some quaint gift shops, plus a very good fish & chip shop. Will be coming back soon, we had a really lovely holiday. Thanks again Sam & Jamie for letting us holiday in your delightful cottage.
An incredible place, with incredible views - just be prepared for the steep path leading up to the cottage. The cottage itself had absolutely everything you could ask for and the quality of each item was excellent. We were 5 - mum, dad, 18yr old, 16yr old & 13 yr old and the cottage was ample in terms of room sizes and furniture etc. None of us wanted to leave and we truly miss the sights & sounds of Mevagissey that Tranquility showcases so wonderfully.
The cottage is located above the harbour, a couple of minutes walk into the village centre. Arrival is tricky due to the limited parking in the village but once unloaded all is fine. Although we were told parking needed cash it would have been really useful to have known that the machines only take coins. The weekly fee is £35 and who carries £35 in coins around these days ? So I opted for Willow park as it is maned but is the furthest from the centre.
Beautiful quaint cottage with phenomenal views.
Lovely cosy cottage in a gorgeous location with a wonderful view of the sea and harbor. Inside the cottage is beautifully decorated with all you need for a hassle free holiday. Parking is not the easiest but really not that much of a problem if you don't mind a walk each day. Mevagissey has lots to keep all ages occupied, with quaint shops and cafes but is also close to many of Cornwall's other attractions like the Eden project and it's splendid coast line (Newquay is only 40 minutes away if you like to surf). Very helpful and easy to reach owners. We were a family of 5 with three children ranging in age from 13 to 7. We visit Cornwall frequently and would recommend this property if you are considering a stay.
Beautiful little cottage lovely views off the bay friendly locals gorgeous food what more do you need
Our stay February, 2020
We had a relaxing week at Tranquility in February. Mevagissey is a pretty little village with pubs, restaurants and shops. The cottage is in an elevated position overlooking the harbour so great views. It is nicely decorated and well equipped for a self catering holiday. It was just right for our family of 5. We enjoyed walks along the coast in both directions - to Pentewan and the Ship Inn one way, and Gorran Haven the other way where there is a café/bar. We also went to The Eden Project and visited local beaches. Back in Mevagissey we had nights in playing games and watching films and also visited the local pubs - The Kings Arms, The Ship and The fountain. The local fish and chip shop does excellent takeaway and She Shells café offers pancakes and crepes. The pasties from Martin's bakery were also very good. Tesco, Asda and Lidl are about 15 minutes drive away for a big shop and there is a mini-market in Mevagissey for topping up.
