Fisherman’s Bothy is a lovely three double bedroomed cottage with an upside down layout, with the added benefit of a utility room which is ideal for leaving wetsuits and inflatables after a day at the beach. There is also an outdoor courtyard style garden and parking directly outside, in the heart of the coastal village of Mevagissey. The cottage is well presented throughout and comprises of an open plan living/dining room with a mezzanine kitchen, three double bedrooms and a bathroom with separate bath and shower. Both the main bedroom and the living room have original wooden beams, and Fisherman’s Bothy also has a feature of a tall ship’s mast that runs right the way through the building, forming not only a beautifully exposed, structural detail but also a quite nostalgic and historic talking point.
The famous fishing village of Mevagissey, which is on the South West Coast Path, includes a harbour, a lovely beach, a model railway, an activity centre and an aquarium, as well as many independent shops, bars and restaurants. There is a children’s play park just a mere 5-minute walk from the cottage and from there you can continue your walk to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A little further afield is the world famous Eden Project, which is only 10 miles away.
