The village of Pentewan and its harbour date back to medieval times and was historically a busy port, shipping a third of Cornwall’s China Clay. Pentewan beach is over half a mile long of near-white sand and is beautifully sheltered, making it great for swimming and water sports. Kayaks, paddle boards and windsurfing equipment can be hired from the beach during the summer months. Pentewan is perfectly located on the south coast, at the gateway to the Roseland Peninsula and is a fantastic location for exploring everything Cornwall has to offer. The towns of Mevagissey and St Austell offer a wide range of amenities including supermarkets, local shops, bars and restaurants and activities for the whole family. Within only a few miles of Pentewan Valley there are some superb tourists attractions, including the world-famous Eden Project. Beach 500 yards.
