These beautifully converted stone barns, adjacent to the owners’ home, are set between the picturesque villages of Altarnun and Polyphant. Both properties combine mellow stone walls and old beams, have well-equipped kitchens and their own garden with furniture, patio and barbecue. The holiday cottages have an elevated position overlooking an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and provide an excellent centre for exploring the coastal paths and moors of both Devon and Cornwall. The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and several magnificent National Trust houses and gardens are within easy reach, as well the fascinating seaside villages of Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac and the food capital of Cornwall, Padstow. An Ordnance Survey walk passes right by the cottages and the area is a walkers’ paradise. The historic market town of Launceston, 5 miles, offers supermarkets, shops, a castle and sports facilities. Plymouth and its many attractions is 25 miles away. The area has a growing reputation for good pubs, restaurants, farm shops and locally produced food. Admired golf courses, fishing, horse riding and cycle ways can be found nearby. Shops and pub 2 miles.
We had a lovely holiday here. Would definitely go back.
Are family enjoyed the space and openness of the house. It felt like home and a perfect place to unwind after a busy day sightseeing. The owners of this property were warm and welcoming, as a family I would love for us to return again.
Turning up to a holiday home is always a risk, but we were all pleasantly surprised as the house was even prettier in real life than the pictures and also felt a lot bigger. It is very comfortable, clean and the owners made us feel very welcome. The WiFi speed is excellent too! There’s a garden which was ideal for drying our wetsuits, and a lovely walk out the back door. We drove to some stunning beaches most days which all took under an hour. Overall something for everyone and unbeatable value for money. The kids didn’t want to leave!
Beautiful cottage with lovely views, very welcoming owners. Would definitely return.thank you for a lovely weekend

Lovely owners, perfect cottage. We would go back
Our stay September, 2019
My husband and I stayed at this cottage last week. Great base for exploring Cornwall. Owner was very welcoming. His wife made us scones and left fresh flowers on our arrival which was appreciated. Take provisions for your first day, as no local shop. Definately need a car to get around. Converted barn is gorguous from outside. Inside is a little dated, however very clean. Bed comfortable and bedding/pillows very fresh. We had some great days out. I just love Cornwall
