A totally unique location on Bodmin Moor with panoramic views stretching for miles and miles across the rolling countryside with Dartmoor on the far horizon. Cheesewring Farm gets is unusual name from the impressive natural granite tor high on the moorland behind. The Cheesewring is an iconic Cornish landmark made of huge granite slabs towering high, a favourite location for walkers and families and an amazing viewpoint so make sure you bring your camera. On a clear day you can probably see for 20 miles across the landscape from here. The farm is a small holding hidden away and sheltered on the eastern side of Bodmin Moor, tucked away off the beaten track and a special place to relax in peace and tranquillity. As well as the four holiday cottages at Cheesewring Farm the friendly family owners who live in the farmhouse also operate a small campsite, so if you have guests who wish to spend a few days with you in Cornwall, they could always book in and camp for a few days.
A perfect spot for walking and cycling, the small village of Minions is just a short walk and has a pub, café and a small shop. The mining heritage centre, the village, the prehistoric hurlers stone circles and the Cheesewring itself are all within walking distance of the farm. A super spot for families, couples and friends at any time of the year. There are four cottages on-site, Mums Cottage, Bickle Bice, Fizz Gog and Cheesewring Cottage, and they are set around a yard, all converted from stone barns built of granite and all with their own little gardens and sitting out areas with patio furniture. Beach 14 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 13 guests.
Bickle Bice was well provided with equipment, you can buy some food from the owners shop
Bickle Bice is a lovely cottage located in a beautiful landscape with stunning views all around. It is warm and cosy and situated on the property of Cheesewring Farm owned by a very friendly family. Practically from our doorstep we made several walks right into the beautiful area.
Our stay September, 2019
Stunning location, clean and tidy accommodation, owners were lovely, polite and helpful, small touches like arriving to milk, eggs and scones (with cream and jam) along with a doggy bag (food bowl, towel, poo bags and treat biscuits) made a great start to the holiday. Easy access to the moor for dog walking was brilliant, loads of walking on the doorstep, we were very spoilt! Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the living room comfortable with amazing views out the windows. We will definitely be going back, 😊
