A very warm welcome awaits you at Trezeal Barn with fresh eggs supplied from the owners’ hens.
A cottage sure to give you the ‘wow’ factor! This luxury, single-storey barn conversion, adjoining the friendly owners’ home, has a sleek open plan living area with wooden flooring, underfloor heating, a large corner sofa and clean, fresh, modern decoration with eye-catching lighting hanging from the vaulted ceilings. The lovely oak and glazed sun room/conservatory is comfortably furnished with cane furniture and enjoys far-reaching open views across the rolling countryside. The shower room is spacious and fully tiled with the bedrooms looking out onto the front courtyard garden. The second bedroom has a single bed, with another single bed suitable for children, teenagers or adults accessed up a short ladder, making a real fun hideaway cosy nest up in the eaves. The modern kitchen area has natural slate and solid wood worktops with an extensive range of mod cons.
Nestling on the edge of Bodmin Moor, it is just a short walk from Sharp Tor with amazing, panoramic 360 degree views. On the top of the moor at the village of Minions, you can see statuesque engine houses from days gone by standing proudly. Then there’s the marvellous, iconic Cheesewring granite tor and the standing stone circle known as the Hurlers. There is a lovely walk directly from the property via quiet country lanes, woodland and river valleys to a popular local pub situated approximately 2 miles away, and more lovely country pubs all within 4 miles. This cosy and welcoming cottage is centrally located for exploring Cornwall. It is within close proximity of the north and south coasts, and the neighbouring county of Devon. Beach 17 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
We had a lovely week at Trezeal. Really nice place with gorgeous sun room and views of the countryside. Close to both north and south Cornwall. Friendly owners. Welcome gifts great, including home eggs and raspberries.
A fantasic cottage with stunning views. The location is excellent for exploring both north and south Cornwall and parts of Devon. We all had a great time here and the owners were extremely welcoming. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.
Our stay August, 2019
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this stunningly beautiful cottage. It was such a lovely and warm welcome with a bottle of wine and delicious cookies and extremely comfortable with stunning views. The cottage is carefully designed, spotlessly clean with lots of extras included, in fact everything that one may need during their stay. Morning tea in the conservatory over looking beautiful views and grazing sheep was very refreshing. Fresh eggs and veggies from the owner’s farm was a lovely gesture and made us feel very welcomed! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the place! A truly hidden gem and extremely tranquil place. The hospitality was perfect too! One of our most memorable holiday. It couldn’t get better than this!
