This adjoining property enjoys a peaceful courtyard setting, surrounded by open farmland, yet lies only one and a half miles from the bustling harbour town of Padstow with its excellent selection of restaurants, quaint shops and water sports. Within a 2-mile radius there is a selection of superb sandy beaches. Bellagio offers very stylish open-plan accommodation with a secluded rear patio and an enclosed front lawned garden. Furnished with flair and to a very high standard, it is a very comfortable base to explore the North Cornwall coast, and has golf nearby. Shop 800 yards, pubs 1 mile.
The location of Bellagio was perfect as we had a puppy, the enclosed garden and courtyard were very safe, and we enjoyed lots of country walks nearby. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but a couple of things let the cottage down. A better detailed list of Information about the facilities in the cottage, and it did seem a little out of date. A couple of the kitchen drawers were messy with odd stuff and the two torches didn’t work if we had had to use them. A small non-stick saucepan needed replacing. The oven wasn’t very clean. That reflects my score of 7.
Excellent location, could walk to amenities but was a quiet location. Very clean and arrived to a bottle of wine and biscuits which was very welcoming.
Padstow was a fantastic village to visit Bellagio was a little too far away which added to taxi costs etc which we didn't budget for.
We had a fab time here. The only reason I knocked down is because the double bed is in desperate need of a new mattress and there is no cheese grater! The cottage is great, plenty of towels, plenty of space despite being open plan. The garden at the back OK for eating the sun is in the front later on in the day and we didn't feel over looked at all in the front.
This cottage is great as far as visiting the 7 bays in the area- great beaches. It does need updating, décor, furnishings and bathroom need attention. Downstairs loo door does not close and oven in kitchen badly needs a good clean - cannot use unless kitchen window is open and extractor turned on to full as it sets off smoke alarm. Kitchen window needs new handle & is difficult to open. Bathroom door does not lock (could be a problem if sharing with friends). No outdoor space at back - teeny bit of patio. Front garden has no privacy and doesn't look cared for. Other people have noted the oven problem, loo & bathroom doors in their comments but they have not been fixed. Lack of wardrobe space, twin room is tiny (no wardrobe at all). We do not think this cottage deserves it's 4 star rating. Does not come up to standard of other 4stars we've stayed in in Cornwall. We came to the conclusion it gets it's 4star rating for location only.
Great location, furniture a little dated , carpets stained, bins in the hedge bye where we parked our car no7 were full and clearly not been emptying attracting lots of flies. Overall enjoyed our stay.
Bellagio is a well equipped cottage in a small block of converted farm buildings. It is very clean and well equipped, even for an early spring break. It's location is excellent for enjoying all Padstow has to offer and is within a few miles of some of the best beaches in Cornwall Perfect for families with a dog, we will certainly return
Our stay December, 2019
Our second stay in bellagio and just as the first visit it was so comfortable there that even dreadful weather and having to stay indoors did not matter every thing you needed was there would recommend to anyone.
