These bright and well-equipped holiday apartments stand in a commanding position with panoramic views from the front across the stunning Port Isaac Bay. Each apartment boasts at least one en-suite bedroom and all are fitted and furnished to a very good standard. The apartments on the first floor and The Penthouse have balconies to enjoy the views and the ground floor apartments have French doors leading to patios with the same vista. Each apartment comes with its own beach hut-style storage to the rear for bikes or surf boards, which is ideal as the property is only a few miles from some of the best surfing beaches and is yards away from the stunning coastal path.
Set just a short stroll down the hill to the harbour at Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series ’Doc Martin’ where a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants can be found. Also within easy reach are the coastal villages of Boscastle and Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur.
A short drive away is Padstow with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants including Rick Stein’s famous fish restaurant. From here, cycle or walk along the Camel Trail, a disused railway line which follows the Camel Estuary, to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin. Alternatively, take a ferry across to Rock to sample the many water sports on offer.
Down the coast is Watergate Bay, the home of kite surfing, and Newquay with its zoo, Blue Reef Aquarium and a number of sandy, family friendly beaches including the famous Fistral surfing beach.
Guests here are well placed to visit the many attractions that this part of Cornwall has to offer: the Eden Project, Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best and the choice of beautiful gardens on the south coast should not be missed. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
Fabulous apartment with all the comforts of home. Spectacular views. Enjoyed it so much we have rebooked for hubby's birthday next yer
Our first stay at the Halycon Penthouse apartment. We thought it was absolutely fabulous, very spacious, well equipped, great location. Views are amazing. Only fault was with six adults staying the water did run out a couple of times.
Have been staying at halcyon 4 or 5 for the past 6 years and never tire of the views
We have stayed in this excellent apartment three times and might stay again once it is provided with a Wi-fi connection. The lack of Wi-fi and an intermittent mobile signal can be limiting when trying to plan your day! That said, the apartment is extremely spacious and very comfortable (our bed had an entertaining squeak), immaculately presented and enjoys fantastic sea views. The local pubs and restaurants are good, some are expensive. The housekeeper and owners were very helpful on our recent visit sorting out a problem with the video player. In all very good holiday accommodation indeed (once the Wi-fi issue is resolved!).
Equipment - no wi.fi big let down this is 2019
Great apartment in fantastic location. Would benefit from more parking spaces.
Our stay February, 2020
Love the pent house The views are to die for I have been before and will go again
