Cornishman Cottage - Reviews

I thought the cottage would be better - there was no WiFi, the television only had basic channels and the beds were too soft. The extractor fan was too low and although there was enough beds to sleep six, there wasn’t enough living accommodation.

Definitely not a luxury cottage. No mention of the narrow walkway and steps down from the parking space. Lounge area was fine for 3 of us but we find it difficult to see how 6 could fit in only 4 chairs at the dining table. Overall our feeling was it was not value for money. We have paid less for better. In this day and age having no WIFI was a let down, as many of the other guests have commented. Will not be going back to this property

Not family friendly. Far to small to cater for six. Certainly not 5 star luxury standard. Over looked into living room area. Finding the cottage an absolute nightmare. Parking not satisfactory for a family requiring at least 2 spaces, with pot luck when trying to find near by parking lot spaces.

Excellent location and a self-contained garden for the dog to enjoy. Close to the supermarket, main roads in / out of Port Isaac and for walking to Port Gaverne and Port Isaac. What was really missing was access to WiFi and many other guests had commented on this - hopefully this will change for the future.

Cottage is in a good position for walks with 2 small beach areas and lovely views, garden was great for dog as it’s very secure. The cottage is not disability friendly and the cooker job is halogen which is not suitable for people with a pacemaker, but there are plenty of places to eat out or takeaway. Overall we had a great holiday.

Fantastic location. Just needs WiFi in Cottage to make perfect.

It was a beautiful location and the cottage had good facilities. We were a family of 4 adults and 2 children (9 and 6) and the space worked perfectly for us. We did feel that 6 adults would have felt cramped in the living area. There are good restaurants within walking distance and the local coop was a real bonus. We knew before we went that there was no WiFi and this was not a major issue for us as it seemed to be for some previous visitors, but it would have been nice and we would have been willing to pay a bit extra for this. The garden was great - absolutely safe for both children and the 2 dogs. All in all we had a great week.

Lovely cottage, definitely not big enough for 6 though and definitely wouldn’t class as ‘luxury’. Fine for 4, living area was cramped would be better to have the downstairs bedroom as a sitting room with a larger dining table in the main living area. Very clean and lovely upstairs but small double beds were a surprise in a ‘luxury’ present property.
