Walnut Tree is a beautifully designed stylish, detached lodge set in the tranquil surroundings of Trewince Manor. One of the striking features is the spectacular sweeping views towards the sea from the decking and master bedroom balcony. As you enter the lodge you will see it has been recently renovated to a high standard and features a gorgeous open plan living space with a modern kitchen with breakfast bar and stunning pale grey wooden units and marble worktop. This spacious room provides a dining area and seating for all the family to spend quality time together. The sliding doors lead out to the decking which boasts gorgeous views of the beautiful green rolling hills down to the sea. This is the perfect spot to eat al fresco or to relax with a glass of wine whilst the children enjoy the large lawn. There is also a selection of children’s books and comic books to keep them entertained when they are worn out from a day of enjoying the beach or pool. Staying on the ground floor are two twin bedrooms furnished to a complimentary style. Between the bedrooms is a modern fitted shower with beautiful mandarin stone tiles. Stairs rise from the living room to the first floor, the master super king bedroom. This is a superb bright room with doors out to the balcony where the views will speak for themselves. Across the landing is the modern and stylish bathroom along with a separate shower.
Walnut Tree lodge has been finished with huge attention to detail featuring art from local artists and beautiful furnishings to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Trewince is a 26-acre estate nestled in the southern tip of the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall. It contains a Georgian Manor House with sea views to one side and our woods and private quay to the other. The resort is surrounded by idyllic countryside and enjoys a prime position overlooking the English Channel.
Being tucked away in the southerly tip of the Roseland affords us the all-important peace and quiet, that really makes the difference when you’re on holiday. We pride ourselves on the fact that we are a rural tranquil site in a picturesque location far away from the crowds. If to get away from it all is what you crave then this is the perfect place for you. A side gate takes you down to a woodland track leading to the two children’s play areas and the estate’s very own quay. Included in your stay is access to the on-site leisure centre with heated indoor swimming pool, childrens’ paddling pool, Jacuzzi and sauna as well as a coffee shop.
The village centre you’ll find several shops including a butcher and a decent grocery/off licence as well as the now standard galleries and gift shops. The local pub serves up St Austell Ales and good pub grub. Above Portscatho lies the village of Gerrans, only a 5-minute walk up the hill. Take the cliff path North out of Portscatho and in under 20 minutes you’ll be standing on the beautiful Porthcurnick beach. At low tide Porthcurnick has acres of flat sand perfect for games of cricket but you might have to wade a fair way to get a decent swim! It is a National Trust owned beach and toilet facilities are available. Further east still are Carne beach and Pendower beach which at low tide join to form an even bigger expanse of sand where dogs are allowed all year round.
