Right in the centre of the charming village of St Neot, on the edge of Bodmin Moor, this wonderful conversion of a Victorian village school is set in an elevated position, with superb views across the village, open fields and woods beyond. Forming part of the original school building built in 1872, and attached to the owners’ home with separate private access, this lovely contemporary property is ideal for a family holiday or couples looking for a quiet yet central location. The living area has a large wood burner, ideal for autumn and winter holidays. The kitchen has French doors opening on to a decked balcony, which overlooks the village church and pub.
Situated midway between the A30 and A38, this property couldn’t be in a better location for exploring the whole of Cornwall. For those looking to enjoy village life on Bodmin Moor, this is the perfect spot. There is a village pub and small shop just a short walk away. Colliford Lake and Siblyback Lake Activity Centre are within easy reach. Bodmin Moor is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is fantastic for walkers. Beach 15 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
A very nice place to stay, with friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely views across the valley, and being centrally located you aren't too far from anywhere in Cornwall.
Our stay July, 2019
The Old Classroom is located in a small village with stunning views. The owners of the house couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and it was very clean, well kept and the welcome basket was very much appreciated after a long journey. Although the village is very small, The London Inn pub is very friendly and serves beautiful food, Thai Wednesday was a real treat and advise you book as it was busy. We were only there for four nights but we had three fantastic days out to Newquay Zoo, the Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway and the Eden Project, all of which are definitely worth a visit!!
