This pet friendly, detached, stone farmhouse is surrounded by countryside and situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best. The cottage provides open plan living accommodation downstairs with a comfortable living room featuring a stone fireplace with a wood burner and a spacious dining area, both with original beams. Set in the centre of Cornwall you are ideally placed to visit the many tourist attractions on offer, including the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House, the many sandy surfing beaches on the north coast and the coastal villages including Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series Doc Martin, Tintagel and Boscastle. Also on this coast is the harbour town of Padstow and further down the coast, Newquay with its surfing beaches, zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium. On the south coast you will find the many beautiful gardens and the quaint harbour villages of Fowey and Mevagissey. Beach 10 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
Beautiful cottage, in a gorgeous off the beaten track location. Owners very friendly and helpful. A get away from it all retreat.
Our stay September, 2019
Such a wonderful place to stay for a holiday, this can be as a couple or as a family, great for dogs as well. Very comfortable house to stay in and explore Cornwall and Devon in a very peaceful location. The bedrooms are lovely and comfortable and guarantee a good nights sleep, however I did hear a local owl on a couple of nights and Robins singing in the morning. Everything you need is in the cottage to enable you to have a relaxing break. Very much recommend a stay at this property.
