Approached over a long gravel drive, which offers plenty of parking, The Long Barn is a beautifully converted period property in a wonderfully rural location. This charming home has a pretty open plan kitchen and living area with flagstone flooring vaulted ceiling and feature wood burner. Cooks will love the stylish and well-equipped kitchen with a cosy dining area for enjoying family meals after long days spent at the beach. The ground floor also accommodates a beautiful double bedroom with exposed beams and glorious views across neighbouring farmland. You’ll find plenty of space for all your luggage in the wardrobe and chest of drawers. There’s also a spacious bathroom suite with a separate shower cubicle. Taking the stairs from the kitchen leads you to a mezzanine level where you’ll find the second twin bedroom. Nestled between exposed beams this spacious room also offers countryside views and is ideal for children or adults.
Stepping outside of The Long Barn you’ll find a seating area where guests can enjoy a morning coffee or evening mug of hot chocolate while admiring the views over the countryside. Across the courtyard is a large fenced paddock offering the perfect spot to walk or exercise your dog while on holiday.
The Long Barn is located just outside the tranquil Cornish village of Philleigh on the Roseland Peninsula. Famous for its 16th century pub, Philleigh is ideally located to explore the Roseland Peninsula and is only a 10-minute drive to the superb beaches and shops of Portscatho and St Mawes. Philleigh was also a significantly important embarkation site for the D-Day landings and evidence of these sites still exists at Turnaware Point and Smugglers Cottage which are only a short drive.
