This characterful, listed terraced holiday cottage is set in the picturesque centre of a preservation area of the village of Calstock. This is a south facing village, near to the National Trust property, Cotehele. The Tamar Valley is renowned as an Area of Outstanding Beauty, within easy reach of the south Cornish coast, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and many other attractions, including The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. There is good walking nearby and a small train to Plymouth and other villages. Tavistock and Callington are 6 miles away and both have a selection of shops and other amenities, whilst a small convenience store can be found in Gunnislake, 2½ miles. In Calstock itself, there is a cafe, which offers vegetarian and vegan options, two pubs and an Italian ice cream parlour. Shop 2½ miles, pub 50 yards.
Very comfortable cottage. Good beds and linen. Heating not really used as it was warm weather but good to have a heated towel rail! Excellent facilities. Beautiful village.
Lovely, cosy cottage with everything needed. Calstock is a pretty village with a lively atmosphere and a great local scene in its pub and Cotehele nearby. Tamar Trails is good for local activities. The river Tamar, the viaduct, the Tamar Valley line into Plymouth make this a good base for visiting Cornwall and Devon. Dartmouth, Newquay, Boscastle,, Fowey, Cawsand and others are reachable but distances are significant.
