Refurbished and refereshed throughout in Spring 2020, this holiday cottage, which is set just 100 yards from the beautiful harbour of Padstow and offers a rare opportunity to stay in this much sought after holiday destination. Equipped to a very good standard the cottage has been decorated and furnished with much flair, set on three floors it boasts a terraced area to the rear ideal for alfresco dining. Padstow has much to offer at any time of the year with excellent restaurants including Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant, pubs, coastal walks, sandy beaches and coves. Boat trips can be enjoyed from the harbour across to Rock or just a few hundred yards from the property lies the Camel Trail which leads to Bodmin Moor and offers cycling, walking and horse riding along the Camel Estuary. This cottage is well placed to visit some of the many tourist attractions that this area has to offer including the legendary Tintagel, the mystical home of King Arthur, Boscastle with its pretty harbour and Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed. You can also take a short drive to the Eden Project or to the wonderful gardens on the south coast. Shops and pubs 100 yards.
We LOVE sandpipers and Padstow. It makes the perfect holiday. But the cottage needs some serious TLC to mend things broken, paint over damp etc. We’ve booked for the last 5 years in a row but this will be our first year we don’t go back as the cottage is just getting too shabby now. We can’t wait to go back once we hear it’s had a bit of maintenance done.
Lovely Cottage, clean, well equipped and spacious. Small outside area, very close to the centre of Padstow so quite noisy and very difficult to park outside, even to unload. Overall thoroughly recommend.
On arrival at the property, first impressions were excellent with a lovely welcome hamper, clean and spacious house, large kitchen. Well situated close to centre of Padstow and its harbour, a short downhill 5minute walk. However, there were some bad points. House does need some tlc, signs of damp on lounge wall, broken shower head in the ensuite, water marks on kitchen ceiling. Garden needs attention, large brambles/nettles growing from flower beds.
Third visit not disappointed
Excellent
Our stay January, 2020
Great holiday home with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds. So convenient for the local shops, pubs, harbour etc. We would certainly return to Sandpipers.
