One of a kind, Riverside is a spacious, detached house which has been fully adapted for disabled use and is wheelchair-friendly. With a stylish interior design and a light, bright and airy feel, this property would really suit people of all ages and needs. The property boasts a fabulous hydrotherapy, indoor heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi and hoist, which lifts from ground level into the pool. There are also patio doors which lead out onto the decked terrace with a large outdoor table and bench seating.
There is a wheelchair lift in the hallway, taking you from the ground floor bedroom level down to the lower ground floor. The kitchen has been specially adapted, with some low level work surfaces and easily accessible sockets and light switches. The games room has a pool table and darts, with doors that open out on to a decked terrace area, and ramp access onto the lower garden. The living room is cosy, with a large corner sofa, beanbags for the kids, wood burner, large TV, Wi-Fi and an intercom system with camera to open the front door. The master bedroom has a large en-suite wet room, and there are wide access doorways throughout the property. The garden is fully enclosed, with ramp access all around, and a large covered fish pond below the terraced area. The property can be decorated for Christmas if you wish, and the owners are very accommodating to your special requirements.
Located in Bude, the property is just a few minutes walk from the canal and footpath into the harbour area. Don’t forget your canine friends too, dogs are very welcome at Riverside. All in all, this is a fabulous holiday home, perfect for a little relaxation and recuperation in this glorious part of north Cornwall. Beach 750 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Our stay November, 2019
Visited this house in November 2019 and was very pleased with it. House is warm, clean and comfortable and the en-suite walk-in wet-room with mobile commode was invaluable for the very elderly, disabled guest. Garden was lovely and perfectly secure even for my adventurous terrier. Pool and games room were a very welcome luxury and the welcome pack was a nice touch and one of the better ones available. It is situated within walking distance of all the amenities and beaches of the lovely Bude and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I would happily go back here again and certainly recommend it. Well this was not my first choice but whilst in Bude and seeing the other choices I have to say that the right choice was made in choosing Riverside. This property is an ideal holiday residence. Location is perfect as it is a short walk to the town centre, beach and canal. You also have Morrison’s and Aldi a short walk from the property or literally a 4 minute drive including Esso for fuel and a Leisure Centre! There are also local walks available from Bude and the added bonus of the Sea Pool. The property itself is upside down so you enter on to the bedroom floor. It is spacious and as stated adapted for wheelchair users. The pool and games room are added bonuses as is the private parking. Beds were comfy, property was clean and most of what is needed is provided. Outside garden is a nice size and we were fortunate with weather to be able to sit outside on the decking. Upon arrival we had an amazing welcome pack which was gratefully received. Contact with owner Martin was very good and any issues were quickly and easily resolved. The only thing I would mention and I am aware that the owner has done all that can possibly be done to rectify the issue including insulating the wall and that is the constant sound of the swimming pool pump which can still be heard in the property and in particular the lounge and twin back bedroom. You do get used to it as the days go on but the noise is consistent. The other factor is the property is on the main road into Bude so traffic can be heard from the front bedroom. However, Riverside is a lovely holiday property in an ideal location and we would most certainly return.

Riverside Cottage, fabulous location, close to centre, beach. The cottage itself has everything you need from cutlery to towels. Very good pool table, swimming pool and dart board. All beds made up on arrival with fresh crisp white sheets . Ideal for couples, families and also for those with walking difficulties, due to the floor plan and lift installed.

Very nice place to stay,my daughter is in a wheelchair,she found she got around in her electric wheelchair with ease,very large wet room in main bedroom, easy to work lift,she could move around freely inside and out. We all had a wonderful time and would stay there again. Only thing I would say, I think it would benefit ,having a few fold up chairs and a folding table to use in the lounge, as could have done with extra seats and a coffee table, but over all a well planned house and own has put a lot of thought into things.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely like to visit again. The owner Martyn was extremely helpful and friendly. The bungalow is located very closely to the beaches and town centre but still a very peaceful haven. Having the pool was magical and the enclosed garden was fabulous for the dogs.

Cottage provided everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. Absolutely loved the wood burner in the cold, wet and windy evenings. My Downs syndrome son loved the private swimming pool and pool table, and everything was accessible for my mum in her wheelchair. Would definitely recommend.
