A perfect location for families or couples wanting to be near the amazing coastline and the lively resort of Bude, yet set in the quieter area of Stratton and just a 5-minute walk from the local pub. This detached dormer bungalow is light, bright and airy inside with a fresh modern decoration. To the rear is a large lawned garden with a parking area to the front, all fully enclosed. The kitchen is modern and has a small breakfast bar area, and there is a separate utility room. The dining room has the original stripped pine wooden floorboards, an electric fire and TV. The living room is cosy with reclining sofas, an electric fire and wall mounted Smart TV.
The village of Stratton has an excellent community spirit with traditional pubs and local shops, whilst being only a short drive from Bude’s full range of amenities and beach life with miles of sand, swimming and surf. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover within a short drive of this cottage including Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Morwenstow, whilst further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination.
Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited, you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone including great beaches for relaxing and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the South West Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and a heritage centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants and an excellent information centre. Beach 2½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
Apart from the journey down in torrential rain. The "Outlook" was very good and everybody had a very enjoyable time. Warm and welcoming and everything felt right about the place. The area is full of interesting places to visit starting with Bude itself. Managed to get out and about during the day as the rain was mainly at night. It has been quite a number of years since I visited Cornwall and this time I stayed along the north coast and visited Port Isaac and Padstow to name a few. At long last was able to visit Rick Stein's in Padstow and it was well worth the wait. Had to visit the Community Hospital in Stratton and it was nice to see somewhere actually working well. Pleased to say all turned out alright. No hesitation in recommending Outlook to anybody. Hope there visit is as pleasing as mine.

We had a lovely Holiday at Outlook and would highly recommend it. There is everything you need to have a Home from Home Holiday.
Our stay December, 2019
This property was lovely and clean, with a very well equipped kitchen. Lovely touch to have it decorated for Christmas. Garden and off road parking a bonus. Great location to discover Cornwall.
