These spacious holiday cottages, finished and fitted to a very good standard, have been thoughtfully designed keeping some original features. Set down a quiet country lane, a short drive from historic Bodmin, and around a courtyard where chickens roam freely, they have country views. A short walk leads to the station where the popular Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway runs to Bodmin with its historical jail, shops, restaurants and pubs. From the station at Bodmin Parkway you can walk to NT Lanhydrock House. From the cottages you can walk to the Camel Valley Vineyard to sample and purchase the local wines. Within walking distance is the local pub and the Camel Trail, a level disused railway line, with an abundance of wildlife along the Camel Estuary - ideal for walkers, cyclists and horse riding. The properties are ideally situated to visit the North Cornwall coastal resorts of Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac, and Padstow - home to Rick Stein’s famous fish restaurant. Close by are the South Cornwall coastal resorts of Fowey, Looe and Polperro, or take a trip to the famous Eden Project. A short drive away is unspoilt Bodmin Moor, Rough Tor and Brown Willy. Golf, horse riding and fishing are all nearby. Shop and restaurant 1½ miles, pub ½ mile.
enjoyed the cottage very much, very spacious, very comfortable. disappointed there was no welcome pack, would have been nice after 5 hours driving to have had at least a pint of milk to make a cup of tea. everywhere else we have stayed have had this, so that was a let down. other than that a great stay.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Penno Cottage, the cottage was very comfortable, well equipped in a lovely location. We only wish our stay could have been longer. Kevin & Linda
Fantastic location - friendly owners - comfortable bed! - close to plenty of food outlets so no need to cook and area is beautiful. Perfect for dogs too!
A very comfortable base to explore Cornwall, despite the weather.
The cottage was in a good location and very clean and tidy would recommend this cottage to anyone, We will be looking to go back as soon as we can.

Our stay December, 2019
Beautiful accommodation in a rural setting! Excellent walks via the camel trail 1/2 a mile away (stop at the Borough Arms car park) This is a lovely place any time of year, our Christmas was idyllic with a log fire and cosy comfort! Dog friendly so if the weather is wet take some towels to protect the light carpet in this very well nicely furnished getaway!
