With views over the glorious countryside these pet-friendly holiday cottages are situated just 4 miles from Cornwall’s spectacular north coast. Buttercups Barn and Campion Cottage are converted barns adjoining one another; each enjoys its own pretty landscaped garden to the front which is an ideal place for morning coffee or al fresco dining taking in the sights and sounds of this peaceful countryside setting. They both have exposed beams and stonework and are light and airy and well presented. St Teath is about 1 mile with a pub and shops, and the larger village of Camelford is about 3 miles. Within a few miles are the sandy surfing beaches at Polzeath and Daymer Bay and the dramatic scenery of Boscastle and Tintagel, with its mystical ruined castle. It is a short drive from Port Isaac, a pretty harbour village where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed. Close by is the market town of Wadebridge and the harbour town of Padstow with its array of shops, restaurants and bars, including Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant. Just across from Padstow is Rock which is great for water sports, and Bodmin Moor is excellent for walking and horse riding. Cycle hire available locally. Shops and pub 1 mile.
Great holiday the cottage was lovely
Great value for money. Clean, pretty, lovely host. We had a great week there.
The cottage was set in beautiful rural location...the views from the lounge/kitchen were stunning and the cottage itself was an authentic older building which once housed cattle and horses but had been adapted beautifully for holiday use. The cottage heating was excellent so inside it was lovely and warm throughout our visit. there were country lanes to walk down and a huge field with pretty wild flowers in front of the cottage. Places we visited were only a short drive away which is also a bonus ( e.g Port Issac and Padstow). Sorry no photos as they are still on my camera..to be developed
Absolutely fantastic if you want a private out of the way get away break. Very clean and has all that you need and more. Conni welcomed us and was very pleasant couldn't have asked for more.would defonately stay again any time of the year as you could simply lock yourself away from the world. Great great great 😁
Lovely place Great if you have a dog Very out of the way if you want to be away from the centre and be in the countryside No pubs or shops walking distance so a car is must
My break at campion cottage was fantastic. Totally dog friendly. Everything we needed was there and the owner was so welcoming. Definitely recommend this and we will be back.
A lovely location in a quiet hamlet. Beautiful farmland views. Super clean and very comfortable. Friendly and helpful hosts. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Great little cottage for 2, spotlessly clean and everything there that you need. We looked forward to returning after our days out in Cornwall, so relaxing.
We had a relaxing stay at Campion Cottage. Well equipped with everything we needed. Close to good pubs that served lovely food and afternoon tea. Comfy bed and cosy surroundings. We’ll definitely be back. Paul & Amanda - London
A very relaxing and tranquil location. We were made to feel welcome from the start. I would reccomend these cottages for anyone who wishes to escape for a while,
The only reason the amenities is a reduced rating is to highlight the rural nature of the cottage means you do have to drive to the local shops ( plenty within a 10mintute drive ) and that some are seasonal.
Beautiful cottage in the perfect location. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be visiting again!
Our stay February, 2020
