With views over the glorious countryside these pet-friendly holiday cottages are situated just 4 miles from Cornwall’s spectacular north coast. Buttercups Barn and Campion Cottage are converted barns adjoining one another; each enjoys its own pretty landscaped garden to the front which is an ideal place for morning coffee or al fresco dining taking in the sights and sounds of this peaceful countryside setting. They both have exposed beams and stonework and are light and airy and well presented. St Teath is about 1 mile with a pub and shops, and the larger village of Camelford is about 3 miles. Within a few miles are the sandy surfing beaches at Polzeath and Daymer Bay and the dramatic scenery of Boscastle and Tintagel, with its mystical ruined castle. It is a short drive from Port Isaac, a pretty harbour village where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed. Close by is the market town of Wadebridge and the harbour town of Padstow with its array of shops, restaurants and bars, including Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant. Just across from Padstow is Rock which is great for water sports, and Bodmin Moor is excellent for walking and horse riding. Cycle hire available locally. Shops and pub 1 mile.
Our second visit, extremely clean and well equipt. Dog friendly, with small enclosed garden and large field for an early morning walk. Perfectly located to explore North Cornwall. Look forward to our next visit.
Quiet relaxing break a chance to leave the everyday hustle and bustle behind while staying in a country cottage
We spent a very enjoyable week at Buttercup Barn. A lovely quiet rural location, but ideally situated for visiting both coasts and Bodmin. Also ideal for our dog with a large field outside the door to exercise him.
Quiet location which suited us perfectly. Walled garden kept our dog safe and a lovely sun trap in the afternoon and evening. Bushes gave privacy from the adjoining cottage. Not grand, but cosy, welcoming, comfy and dog friendly without compromise. Would revisit.
Lovely clean, comfortable well equipped cottage. Lovely views. Conni and Tim very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to places of interest. Cannot find any fault.
Very comfortable for two people. Everything you needed. Remote and peaceful location. Very dog friendly, with a field in front of the barn for exercise.
We have stayed here before and it is so beautiful and relaxing . The week we were here was a present to my partner for his birthday that we tagged on to our usual 2 weeks staying elsewhere. It was the perfect restful week. Looking forward to coming back agIn soon
