Perfect for couples or a small family looking for a rural and peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, yet close to the amazing North Cornish coastline. The two semi-detached barns, converted from original stone farm buildings, are located on a working farm in the midst of rural North Cornwall, close to the little village of Jacobstow. The picturesque seaside village of Crackington is 4 miles away and Davidstow, where the well known cheese originates, is 7 miles away. The A39 Atlantic Highway is nearby making this a perfect location for exploring this dramatic coastline. There are many interesting places to visit, including the seaside resort of Bude, the village of Boscastle, Tintagel, the legendary home of King Arthur and Port Isaac where Doc Martin is filmed. There are many fabulous beaches for swimming, surfing and building sandcastles. Each cottage has a rear sitting-out area with garden furniture. They both have full oil central heating and the granary has a lovely wood burner in the living room, making them ideal for holidays throughout the year. Beach 3½ miles. Shop and pub/restaurant ½ mile.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 6 guests.
Super cottage. Lovely welcome with a Cornish cream tea. Enjoyed exploring North Cornwall from this location. Great carvery at the local pub.
A lovely cottage which was warm and cosy. The scones and cream that were there on our arrival were very welcome and after a long journey were eaten before we unloaded the car! Ada and Russell were very friendly, and always made sure there was plenty of wood for the log burner. A super holiday in a beautiful part of the country. We certainly would like to come again,
Good quality, spacious accomodation in an excellent location for exploring North Cornwall and Devon. Very welcoming hosts with plenty of character, personality and one liners!
Lovely clean cottage, the owners made us feel really welcome. Access to loads of places via the Atlantic highway. Would definitely book again.
Fantastic stay at the granary. It had everything we needed. A great location on a working farm close to the beaches of crackington haven and bude. Owners were lovely and on hand if we needed anything. Highly recommend.
lovely family week away. This cottage is on a working farm and it was wonderful to see the cows everyday. Brilliant value for money and a lovely cottage. The hosts and their dog were incredibly friendly and the children enjoyed themselves. We would hope to return in the future
Great cottage, great location and great hosts. Enjoyed every minute of the time we spent at Beckaveans Granary End July 2019. Ada and Russell were very welcoming, always friendly and always had a minute or two to chat and pass the time of time day with myself and our sons. They have a herd of prize winning South Devon cattle and it wAs nice to be able to watch them grazing peacefully. We saw bats and also a baby toad. Cottage was well appointed, tidy and clean. 5-10mins drive to the beaches at Bude or Widemouth and so we and and our sons 4 and 6 were happy. Both were child friendly and safe beaches with lifeguards. We spent the one rainy day in Launceston at the Lawrence House museum and had fish and chips in the Launceston Fryer- the best fish and chips I have had in ages. A special holiday with a perfect base at Beckaveans Granary
Four of us stayed at the Granary and we were all very happy with the accommodations. The owners, Ada and Russell were welcoming and charming. We are recommending it to friends and family and plan on revisiting.
Very enjoyable, clean and well equipped. Far enough off the main road to be peaceful. Walking distance to decent pubs with good food. Love Cornwall, love the scenery and coastal walks. Great hosts.
Had a great stay at this cottage. It was immaculately clean and very well equipped. Cream tea on arrival was lovely! My son loved meeting the farmer’s prize cows. Location is good for exploring the area. We hope to visit again next year.
We had a wonderful week staying at the granary. The cottage was immaculate with all amenities we could need. We arrived on a cold day to a fire already burning, fresh scones and a warm welcome from our hosts. We spent a lovely week and couldn't have asked for more. An excellent location for exploring north cornwall and futher afield. Thoroughly recommended
Beckaveans Granary was a very comfortable and well equipped cottage.
Our stay January, 2020
We had a wonderful stay at Beckaveans Granary and were well looked after from start to finish. The hosts were lovely and ensured we had the perfect stay over New Year. We particularly enjoyed the log burner in the living room. The cottage was clean and well equipped. We would visit again!
