This cosy holiday cottage is situated in a peaceful rural location, surrounded by countryside, 3 miles from Crackington Haven beach, 6 miles from Widemouth Bay - one of the finest sandy beaches on the N. Cornwall coast. This barn conversion retains many character features and has been furnished to a very high standard. An easy drive leads to many fascinating places, including Padstow, Port Isaac, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bude. A little further lie the Eden Project, surfing town of Newquay and cathedral city of Truro. Lovely cottage very homely. Nice touches milk, sugar, tea, coffee and cake upon arrival. Great space Would definately book again. Great value for money.
We had a really good time; quite off the beaten track but good for getting to various places the war museum up the road in Davidstow was lovely day out run by volunteers, also crackington haven was a walk but challenging as the host warned. The big bonus was the b & b next door which doubles up as a restaurant was friendly welcoming and the food amazing we had Sunday lunch and and evening meal brilliant prices and we could take our own wine. Maybe take a couple of DVD and CDs with you as not many there.
spacious comfortable accommodation. Quiet location. Well equipped kitchen
My words to describe this would be - the perfect staycation retreat! All the home comforts you could ever want, central to so many beautiful coastal locations and villages. . The best bit, peace and quiet! Great family/couple's/solo cottage, and very well layed out! Being in a rural location, it's very private and would make a great romantic get away! Very spacious but cosy, has some character to it, very rustic-modern inside There wasn't anything I didn't like! Will be booking for more staycations in the future. 10/10- this review doesn't even come close to how much I loved being in this place!
We had a lovely time, the cottage was clean and had great facilities. The baskets of children’s toys was a great touch and ours loved them. The large kitchen was amazingly equipped. And it was great having a little garden to sit out in the evenings too.
Our stay November, 2019
Nice little secluded cottage in a great location to travel up and down the coast or inland. The cottage is well equipped and homely however some work does need to be done on fixing some of the minor issues there (gaps under the front and back door which leak water in and the leaking skylight in the downstairs toilet). Additionally the cottage needs some attention in the cleaning. On face value it’s clean but there are issues where it hasn’t been cleaned for some time eg top of wardrobes, corners of rooms etc. Overall a lovely place in a great location that just needs a bit of TLC.
