Located in the country near to East Taphouse, this detached, single-storey, lodge style property is nestled in the spacious grounds of the owner’s home. The generous, open-plan living space boasts a contemporary, light and bright design, with large corner sofas, which are perfect for snuggling into on an evening. The French doors open onto the garden with a small terrace area and outdoor furniture, which is a great place for al fresco dining.
Badgers Drift provides idyllic accommodation for couples, both young and old, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you are looking for a central base from which to explore the wider region of Cornwall, then this is a perfect spot to choose.
Boasting a central location, there are many key tourist attractions that Cornwall has to offer situated close by, including the fishing town of Fowey and Looe, and the coastal village of Polperro. Bodmin Moor is only a short drive away to the North. Also within easy reach are the many beautiful gardens on the south coast. The historic city of Plymouth is just a short drive away, where there are many sandy, surfing beaches on the north coast, including Newquay with its zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium.
Alternatively, why not visit the harbour towns of Port Isaac, where the TV series of Doc Martin is filmed, and Padstow, with its variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, including Rick Stein’s famous fish restaurant. Beach 10½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Weather dreadful but bungalow warm and cosy. Lovely countryside views from lounge. Spacious and well equipped. Dog friendly with local field for walks. Owners helpful and welcoming. Nice break, need a car for local amenities. Visited
This cottage was amazing and the surrounding views. It was just myself and my dog and we had access to a gated field where he could freely run around. The cottage is very very spacious and cosy and is perfect for getting away from it all. Beaches a short or long drive away but all well worth a visit, Par being a particular little gem.
Lovely holiday cottage, clean, warm and well equipped. Well placed for exploring the area. Enjoyed ourselves despite it being a damp November week. Would recommend a stay at this property to recharge your batteries for a mid winter break.
Badgers Drift was a really lovely cottage. Very clean, extremely well equipped and situated centrally for easily exploring the county.
Amazing cottage just like being at home ,owners are always on hand if you need them.close to main routes to explore Cornwall.morrisons 5 min drive.will definitely return.
Great holiday bungalow very peaceful surroundings, the owners were also very helpful all in all a good place to stay.
The cottage was far nicer than the photos depict and incredibly spacious. It was a fabulous base from which to explore all of the delights and sites that Cornwall has to offer.
We were taken by surprise when we entered this cottage. The size, the space and the views are even better than what you see online. The cottage was well equipped and immaculately clean. Apart from the weather this cottage provided us with the perfect holiday. It was a pleasure to come back to after a day out exploring and neither my husband nor myself have slept so well in a long long time. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.
This was our second visit and once again we had another lovely stay at Badgers Drift. The cottage is in a great location for exploring Cornwall with fantastic views across the countryside. Thanks to Kev, Sue and Teddy for making us feel so welcome.
The best cottage we have stayed in cornwall. Great location to see all of Cornwall. Cottage very well equipped with everything you should ever need for your holiday. Spotlessly clean You certainly will enjoy your holiday if you stayed at badgers drift. Tim and sue make you very welcome when you arrive and are on hand if you require any further information Fantastic holiday we had and will be rebook another holiday there
Lovely holiday cottage with everything we needed for a great holiday (including a cream tea waiting for us on arrival). Quiet location with gorgeous views and a great base for exploring Cornwall. Next visit already booked.
The cottage is well equipped, and spacious and comfy. The cream tea was a nice touch. Just a few items to point out - the fridge is extremely noisy, and its the first cottage that we have been too that didn't have a cafetiere which was most disappointing. Badgers Drift is an ideal touring base for visiting a large number of National Trust properties. We highly recommend visiting Trelissick House, Lanhydrock, Cotehele, and Trerice. All in all, it was a most enjoyable week, and even the weather was good.
Good location for visiting local attractions.
Great accommodation and central spot as a base to tour around Cornwall. Would definitely consider staying here again. Very friendly hosts.
