Set only a few minutes’ walk away from a beach and the tall ships moored in Charlestown’s famous and often filmed harbour, Trevose is a comfortable mid-terrace cottage. There are also many superb pubs and restaurants in Charlestown, you’ll be spoilt for choice. There’s also a large supermarket within walking distance, meaning you’ve got everything right on your doorstep. Charlestown makes a perfect base for a relaxing Cornish holiday as many beautiful attractions are within a 20-mile radius of the village – Par, Luxulyan UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Fowey, Lostwithiel and Mevagissey are under 8 miles away and Bodmin, Truro, Newquay, Liskeard, and Wadebridge under 20 miles. In fact, many things can be reached by foot, train or bicycle as the property is near St Austell and Par railway station, the coastal path and a plethora of cycle and walking trails.
Nice cottage but smelt damp as we went in and furniture damp too . Lots of crockery chipped , washing machine didnt work properly , bed very uncomfortable and bedding old , towels also old and very hard , traffic very noisy from around 5 am . Wouldn't book again.
Great location, have visited Charlestown before and it is lovely. The children enjoyed staying there.
The cottage was as we expected and very comfortable
Lovely cottage, in a quiet place but close enough to local amenities. The cottage was really clean and comfortable. Definitely recommended!
Excellent cottage very comfortable excellent value for money very happy with my stay
Our stay October, 2019
Trevose is a lovely cottage, well equipped and in a great location. However, the property is very damp with wet / mould clearly seen on almost every wall (quite extensive) as well as a strong damp / musty smell. The oven / grill was also unusable as thick smoke came billowing out when we turned it on. We brought these issues to the attention of the owners (via email) but have had no response from them. Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short because of the damp environment triggering our asthma symptoms. It has the potential to be a great holiday rental but is in desperate need of some TLC.
