This 19th century, semi-detached holiday cottage lies adjacent the owner’s Tudor farmhouse with 30 acres of farmland. Set 50 yards from a minor road, deep in the countryside, it is perfect for relaxing. Only 6 miles off the A30, it is easy to reach and centrally placed for exploring all areas of Cornwall; Eden and Heligan are 7 miles, Charelestown and Porthpean beach 4 miles, Truro is close by and has a theatre, cinema, museum and river trips to Falmouth. St Austell with all facilities, 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
Apple Store is a wonderfully charming old world cottage, in a lovely location. We are a family of 4, with 2 young boys (14 & 8) and we had a great holiday. Apple Store is in a great location to explore a number of beautiful local Cornish places, we stayed 7 days and were able to easily visit, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project, Fowey, Mevagissy, Newquay / Fistral Beach, Charlestown and number of secluded, family friendly beaches. There are numerous places to eat out within is easy reach, but Apple Store does have a well equipped kitchen. The owner (Alix) could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. Apple Store is set in many acre's of farmland, complete with a woodland walk, which our youngest was captivated by. We will certainly return to the Apple Store and once again thank you to Alix. Excellent place to stay . Really friendly host and the most lovely neighbours opposite. Really nice walks into the woods. Close to drive everywhere.
Had a great time doing coast path. Liked the fresh flowers and the owner was very friendly and helpful
Unfortunately the Mattresses need replacing .soon. Property ok as base. Seating not very comfortable. Wi-Fi poor, Picnic area and Pond not well maintained. Definitely NOT safe for children.
Authentic old Cornish cottage, perfect country location. Owner unobtrusive but very helpful when required. Well placed for exploring Cornwall and eating out locally. We could find no fault, would love to stay again.
This cottage is in a small hamlet surrounded by beautiful countryside but would benefit from an upgrade. Access to the front door is challenging with uneven and raised stonework to step over before stepping down to the door. Parking for one car but you are asked to keep access free for a tractor to pass which is impossible unless your car is tiny! The ground floor is open plan. The eating and seating area is small and the folding dining chairs not acceptable. No dishwasher although there is room for one and a weird tap arrangement in the sink. The twin beded room is cramped with no wardrobe and both ensuites are exceptionally small with tiny hand basins. This could be a lovely little cottage but needs some work to get there. Owner pleasant and dog delightful. Cottage was clean and for once this was a holiday let with sharp vegetable knives, which makes a nice change.
Loved it here. Delightful cottage and location
