A delightfully cosy, detached thatched holiday cottage on a working farm, surrounded by lush green fields and just half a mile from the water’s edge at Mount’s Bay. With delightful walks along the many footpaths, including the nearby coast path and a link on the Sustrans National Cycle Network at Marazion, this is the perfect base for the active country lover. Beautiful Marazion with St Michael’s Mount, castle and garden and bird sanctuary is just 2 miles. For that special day out, take the helicopter or ferry from nearby Penzance to the beautiful, almost sub tropical Isles of Scilly. Shop, pub and restaurant 0. 5 miles.
Great place to stay, if you have inquisitive dogs they can jump off the garden wall, you have to remember it is a working farm so your foot wear and car will get dirty. We would go back without any question of a doubt, friendly family.
Thatch cottage is an ideal location to stay for a relaxing break, a place to unwind and forget about everyday life. Thatch cottage is well equipped and has everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday.
We had a lovely break at Thatch Cottage. The house was comfy and cosy. We and our dogs enjoyed the walks in either direction along the coast path and the local beaches and cafes.
Because in middle of farm yard and such bad weather the yard and lane very deep mud etc . Take wellies Cottage was clean , cosy and warm .
Another excellent time (despite the weather) we always enjoy our stay at this cottage and have already booked to return in 2020.
Beautiful cottage with lovely big dog safe garden. On a working farm so entrance road gets a bit muddy. The cottage itself was spacious and very well equipped - we wanted for nothing. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The local inn was very pleasant with friendly service and lovely meals. Dog friendly too and with a big garden for summer events. Not far from Penzance and in the other direction Helston. Lots of beaches nearby as is Penrose estate for lovely walks. Would certainly go back to this lovely cottage and highly recommend it.
We couldn't have wished for a better location, there was so much provided and comfy double bed with heating if needed, plus footpaths from door. The kitchen was the best equipped we have been to.
The downside was the approach down the track to the cottage. Extremely muddy and very rough. Another downside was the bathroom and toilet being down stairs.
Interesting location, GPS found it difficult to locate and wanted us to go via the rear exit (overgrown), being on a working dairy farm means lots of mud and flies etc, as we are rural people that was not an issue, but be warned. The local beaches get fully covered at high tide so plan your visits, also the cafes get busy quickly. we had a good holiday and our eight year old granddaughter was happy too.
Enjoyed our stay. Lovely cottage, was well equipped. Great location. Would return again.
Close to St Michaels Mount and supermarkets. House could do with updating, a little tired. Beds were comfortable. Garden is not dog proof, if you have an energetic dog like our springer spaniel he could have easily jumped over the wall in places. Kept him on a very long lead. Gate was also broken. Road leading up to house can be very muddy and full of cow muck, but is on a farm so to be expected. Owners friendly and not intrusive. Nice and quiet location, but unfortunately house not for us or our dog
The cottage was lovely, it was comfortable and well equipped. We were greeted with a lovely box of biscuits and a pint of milk - perfect as that was the one thing we had forgotten! Local amenities weren't great... The fish and chip shop was always shut and the Victoria pub wasn't serving food when we went there. It's a good location but a bit of walk down to the beach and the nearest beach isn't dog friendly.
Lovely cottage in a rural location with sea view, the perfect relaxing holiday and close to some of Cornwalls best beaches
We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. It’s in a great location for exploring Cornwall. Would highly recommend and would stay again.
We have Two dogs and it is perfect for our requirements. Lots of at hand walks, cafes, pubs, and very peaceful
Our stay February, 2020
Wonderful little cottage, great for access to the beach, warm welcome from the lovely owners, would definitely visit again
