These pet friendly holiday barns are situated less than half a mile from the stunning north coast of Cornwall. In the heart of this small Cornish hamlet, the barns are furnished and fitted to provide a comfortable base from which to explore the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer. Each barn has a well-equipped kitchen and TV in the main bedrooms, as well as open-plan living. Each has its own sitting-out area, which is ideal for watching the wildlife and al fresco dining. Guests are close to the coastal path and if you walk north, you will reach Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further on, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour is a must. A small beach can be reached on foot, approximately ½ mile away. Travelling down the coast, guests will come to Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed, and further down the coast, visit the beautiful sandy surfing beach at Polzeath and the dunes at Rock where you can take a ferry across to Padstow. From Padstow, with its working harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin. Close by is Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best, and for walkers the tors on the moor are a must. Further down the coast is Newquay, with its famous surfing beaches, Blue Reef Aquarium and Zoo and if you travel to the south coast, you will find Looe, Fowey and Mevagissey, just a few of the charming coastal villages. For cycling enthusiasts, there is a cycle hub at Lanhydrock, with some wonderful forest routes to be taken. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
The owners are lovely. The cottage was cosy but you definitely need a car to get to places.
Great cottage, dog friendly with quick access to coastal path and small beach. Internet is too slow to use for day to day - don’t plan on streaming films or browsing web - just about download small emails and use for WhatsApp. Good amenities in cottage with dishwasher, washing machine etc. Nice and quiet location with lovely sunsets - car necessary for getting to local shops
Great remote location for cliff top walks and beautiful beach. A further walk along the coast path (about 45 mins) takes you to Trebarwith Strand, a busier beach with all amenities and a brilliant pub doing fab food.
Nice cottage in a quiet hamlet. Lovely coastal walk on the doorstep. Dog friendly.
The Stables cottage was perfect for us. In lovely setting. You can see the sea from it and the most amazing sunset in the evening. If your looking for a lovely peaceful holiday with your pets then I recommend it. Fantastic walks with my dogs. Only 5 mile drive to the most picturesque Port Isaac. Close to Tintagel, another gorgeous village. Just loved it.
A great home from home cottage with everything you need. Great hot running water, lovely sea views, and the local beach is a nice 20 minute walk away a bit of a hike down but we had beach bbqs there and it was beautiful.
Had a lovely week everything we needed very sercure for our dog wonderful couple let us in early so our dog could have her medication location quiet but that's why we booked it home from home would recommend you try it poet issac 5 miles away lovely x
A nice little cottage - very quick. Could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived. The shaving light in the bedroom glowed at night. The enclosed courtyard and hallway/entry room were really useful for our dogs. Lovely location so close to the coast.
A well equipped cottage with good parking. Secluded location with sea view in the distance.
Great location for coastal path walks it you have good weather. But some of the styles difficult to get over especially with larger dogs.
Perfect for One woman and her dog seeking solitude and peace
An Excellent place to stay - idea for coastal walks and visits to places of interest in the area. Can not comment on local amenities as we never sort or used them. Cottage itself has everything you will need including a stone floored porch for leaving wet boots etc. Enclosed garden is fully enclosed and ideal for ensuring dogs are safe and will not stray if front door is left open. During our visit (March 2019) storm gareth hit, not even this could spoilt our time there in any way. We intent to return for another visit
Our stay October, 2019
We had a very enjoyable stay at stable cottage. It's location is a perfect base for getting around. Very dog friendly and spotlessly clean, we would happily recommend it.
