This ground floor apartment sits in a superb position right on The Esplanade in Fowey, which gives you unobstructed views across the estuary to Polruan and the ocean beyond. A stroll along The Esplanade into Fowey will bring you to the picturesque waterside, and the historic centre with its meandering lanes full of craft and gift shops, galleries, quaint cafés and restaurants.
The historic seafaring town of Fowey is famous as the home of the writer Daphne Du Maurier and the location of the annual Fowey Royal Regatta. It is a magnet for watersports enthusiasts from sailing and sea fishing, to kayaking on the river. Fowey has it all; coastal walks and boat trips out to sea to spot dolphins and seals can be taken from the quay, as can a ferry across the bay. The pretty little beach at the quaintly named Readymoney Cove, is a short stroll away and the perfect spot to explore the rock pools, go crabbing or simply lie on the beach and enjoy a Cornish ice cream.
There are many National Trust gardens and houses in the area, as well as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan which are both must do destinations. There are numerous walks that can be started right from your door. The Hall Walk is a particular favourite with locals, and visitors, as it hugs the estuary as it tracks through the wooded banks along its shore, with sea and town views along the way. The Esplanade is part of the South West Coastal Path and you can walk around the point to Polkerris and past Daphne Du Maurier’s family home at Menabilly. Cycling, surfing, golf, cinemas, bowling and horse riding are all available locally. Beach 300 yards. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
We had a great time in a great location.
Spent a lovely week in Seascape on my first visit to Fowey. The flat is perfectly placed between the town and the beach and makes a great base from which to explore local towns and activities. It had everything we needed, was very comfortable, nice neighbours - and an amazing view. Would happily stay there again.
Cant say any more than excellent. 4th time staying there, comfy new single beds a bonus this time..thank you to the owners. Will be booking again.
We love Seascape, and this was our third stay there. It is clean, the most fully equipped cottage we have stayed in, and has a very comfortable sofa and bed (very important when you get to our age!). Above all, though, the view from the sitting room has to be one of the best you could get anywhere in the world! We could sit there all day just looking at the view, and have done so on some days when the weather was wet and windy. I can’t recommend it enough, and we will definitely be returning!
we had a great holiday. difficult to fault anything. fantastic views out over the water - exactly as shown on the web site
We absolutely loved our stay at Seascape - it was exactly what we needed for our holiday and we would love to stay there again. The view out the front window cannot be beat and it's a perfect location.
Very comfortable apartment with the added benefit of parking. Views from the sitting room window to the estuary and out to sea were absolutely breathtaking. Would highly recommend.
Millionaire view great facilities good area to explore from.
Take binoculars with you if you enjoy watching the antics of yacht club trainees. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay although the single mattresses were a bit firm for mum, apartment was perfect, excellent shower, excellent heating if needed, cumfy sofa, big soft towels, coffee, milk, tea bags, apple juice, biscuits. Brilliant holiday. Will be returning.
Stunning views, location dreamy. Kitchen knives need sharpening.
Our stay November, 2019
This is our 3rd time at seascape, which I think says it all!
