Families, friends and couples will adore this comfortable property whatever the season. Seaglass is a spacious and beautifully appointed three bedroomed apartment set over two floors. The accommodation occupies the ground and first floors of St Winifred’s House, conveniently located in the heart of the ancient market town of Marazion. The sea and sandy beach are just 100 yards away. There are fabulous views of St Michael’s Mount from the dining room and kitchen, which has bi-fold doors opening onto a Juliet balcony, giving the whole apartment a light and airy feel. There are also outstanding sea and Mount views from two of the upstairs bedrooms. Parking is available for one car, however access to the parking can be challenging due to a tight corner.
Marazion is an ideal spot for exploring west Cornwall or simply relaxing on the beautiful beach of Mounts Bay overlooked by the stunning and romantic St Michael’s Mount, perched on its rocky outcrop. Visitors can reach St Michael’s Mount on foot by causeway at low tide or by small boat at high tide from the end of the lane. The gorgeous sandy beach is popular with families, sun worshippers and outdoor enthusiasts with activities including kite surfing, canoeing, sailing, paddle boarding and horse riding. Marazion attracts bird watchers from around the UK to its glorious marshes and wildlife area.
Nearby Penzance has a main line railway station, the last south west station in the UK. Branch lines enable guests to explore St Ives, Newquay and Falmouth with ease. There are great public transport links including open top bus tours and some of the area’s best restaurants, pubs and cafés. There is a long flat promenade complete with an open air, salt water swimming pool.
The small quaint fishing harbours of Newlyn and Mousehole are just around the bay with art galleries, craft and curiosity shops. A short drive and visitors can reach Lands End, Sennen Cove, Lamorna Cove and the famous Minack open air theatre. Take a day trip to the beautiful Isles of Scilly by small plane from Lands End airport or ferry service from Penzance. If you are seeking a relaxing summer holiday or wild wind swept walks along the coast in winter, Seaglass will not disappoint. The area is vibrant all year round with the Mousehole Christmas Lights and New Year Celebrations. Beach 110 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
On arrival the view of St Micheals Mount from the sun room (and two of the three bedrooms) is quite stunning and was the ever changing back drop to our holiday, the full moon being a high light. Seaglass is a lovely large comfortable home really well located for access to the beach and well placed for visiting The Minack Theater,St Ives and many other beautiful places. You can tell the owners holiday in this property as it has many things included not always found in some properties we loved staying here.
Seaglass is a very a very comfortable clean &a well supplied place to stay even on rainy days there's plenty to do & the location couldn't be more perfect overlooking st Michael's mount & the beach on your doorstep. There are numerous restaurants selling wonderful food & 2 wonderful cafes selling that oh so special cream tea one of them literally a few feet from the front door & of course the pastie shop & don't forget the precious parking space. If like us you enjoy your home comforts look no further than seaglass this is the second year running for my family & will be booking again for next year & many years to come.
Lovely home from home and well equipped. The pictures don’t do it justice. Good location for beach and village.
Excellent property, however, the parking was testing - anything larger than a Ford Focus sized car would struggle with the tight corners, but this was stated in the information given. A lovely house with everything catered for, even scones on arrival. Very clean and nicely decorated. Beautiful views of St Michael's Mount. Drive out to the local supermarket as only small food shop within walking distance. Overall, a very nice property in a very nice location.
Excellent location and facilities - except for the parking! Please note that unless you have the patience of a Saint and great throttle / clutch control as well as a small car, it is not easy to park in the small courtyard behind the property. I would recommend parking on the beach car park that costs £4.50 per day or £31.50 per week.
A beautiful holiday home in a fantastic location, just brace yourself for the narrow entrance to the parking space ( our extra long truck didn’t make it!). Everything has been thought of to make your stay comfortable and easy. We would definitely love to go again one day. Views of the mount from the windows, and rock pools and beach a minutes walk away. Our small girls loved being there, so much to explore on your doorstep. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Our stay January, 2020
Tricky (impossible) to park a big car in the allocated space, but local pub (Godolphin Arms) we’re very kind 😁
