Venture slightly inland and the ancient town of Wadebridge with its many boutique shops and home to the superb Camel Trail, where you can hire a bike and follow this mainly flat pathway back to Padstow or east to Bodmin through gorgeous scenery, devoid of road traffic. At Bodmin, explore the atmospheric and mysterious moor of the same name, with striking rock formations and far-reaching views; perhaps take a nostalgic trip on the Bodmin and Wenford Railway or visit The Bodmin Jail Attraction, a wonderful and rather chilling interactive experience transporting you back to what life would have been like behind bars as far back as 1779.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, the first with a double bed with smart thoughtful décor, whilst bedroom two has bunk beds and plenty of storage. A very handy third single bedroom offers further flexibility. The family bathroom has a bath for that precious soak with excellent shower over. The garden space is enclosed and provides wooden seating.
