Our stay February, 2020
We booked this last minute for Feb half term - we are a family of 4 , kids aged 10 and 8. The Lodge was so much better than it looked in the pictures and was huge and well equipped. Although the decor is a little dated everything worked well, good showers, dishwasher etc. The only slight downside was that by evening time, the storage heating was not making the Lodge as warm as I would have liked, but it was definitely bearable. A really big plus was havng use of the hotel facilities. The weather was very bad, so to have use of the pools and the gym as well as the gym classes made a real difference. Having said that there are also some really nice places nearby including Cotehele, the National Trust property and the Tavistock trail centre. Overall we had a brilliant holiday, excellent value for money despite the atrocious weather.
