The perfect choice for a memorable holiday at any time of year within the pretty village of Week St Mary, yet just 5 miles from the glorious sandy beach at Widemouth Bay. Pennacott is presented to a very high standard and provides spacious holiday accommodation with stunning country views towards Dartmoor.
This is a delightful, romantic retreat, detached and tucked away within its grounds. Contemporary in style, it has granite work tops and exposed beams, and the glazed wall in the living room takes in the glorious views. French doors open to a pretty patio and private lawned garden.
The village is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and magnificent scenery, with a well-stocked, local store/post office, village pub and a lovely old church. Widemouth Bay and the rugged North Cornwall Coast with its fantastic beaches, amazing scenery and coastal cliff top footpath are just 5 miles away. Bude, 6 miles, is an ideal place to shop, eat out and sample specialist local produce.
The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Boscastle, Port Isaac and Rock are well worth a visit and mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is close by. The wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moors are a must for walkers and nature lovers, and for a great day out Crealy Adventure Park, The Big Sheep and the famous Eden Project, are all within easy driving distance. Golf, fishing and horse riding available nearby. The perfect holiday choice and an ideal location from which to explore this delightful area. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 80 yards.
The accommodation was to a very high standard and very spacious for 2 people. The garden was also a decent size. It was nice to have a selection of towels, not the usual tiny things you have to wrap around your body. The bed was very comfortable and massive. The entrance was tight, so not great for a large car but was good to have off road parking. The shower was over the bath but very powerful. Overall very impressed and would use again.
A lovely place to stay, really loved Pennacott, just what we wanted parking was good once getting through the gate, plenty of towels for the two of us, lovely jester cream tea and local cider, didn’t want the week to end, would highly recommend. Just perfect.
the cottage is beautiful, everything has been thought of, even down to an Alexa, which we had great fun with and now want one, Netflix to watch, the bed was out of this world , so comfortable. The peace and quiet of the countryside was lovely, unfortunately it was too chilly to eat outside. everything that could possible be needed was provided in the cottage, the welcome cream tea and bottle of local cider was a lovely touch too.
Week St Mary has very few amenities - one pub that didn’t serve food so you had to drive everywhere if you wanted to dine out. The lounge of the property was also very impersonal and not well equipped, comfortable or cosy. The one shop closed at 6 and the access roads were narrow and a little daunting to drive.
Well appointed cottage with a lovely big garden. My only, very small gripe, is that the towels weren't big enough! Lovely little touch of a cream tea waiting upon arrival.

Lovely cottage and village. Nice and clean and well equipped. Would highly recommend this cottage and we would go again.
