Resting within a peaceful countryside village, Old Lanvean Cottage is a traditional, white-walled, thatched cottage which oozes charm and character throughout. Enter via the garden gate and to your left is a lovely seating area where you can relax and enjoy a light breakfast or a little al fresco dining. The inclined lawned garden has several mature trees and bushes and beautiful wooden planter containing lavender. It is fenced and should contain most dogs; one dog is welcome, plus more on request. Take the steps up to your front door and enter this picture-perfect haven. The décor here has been carefully chosen to enhance the cottage’s natural beauty. The ground floor has many original features and has been sympathetically updated to create a warm, inviting feel, with a mixture of antique and modern furniture and quintessential artwork. The kitchen has been cleverly designed to incorporate modern appliances, and the delightful semi-open plan dining room, which is adjacent to the kitchen, is complete with oak table and colourful chairs. The living room is ideal for a cosy evening in and has a feature fireplace - just sink into one of the super comfy sofas and recharge, perhaps watching a movie, reading a favourite novel or playing a board game after a busy day exploring. There is also a ground floor bathroom with a shower over the bath. Venture upstairs to discover two bedrooms, both with quality linen on the beds. One bedroom has a double bed, the other a super kingsize bed with the flexibility of conversion to a twin bed.
The village is situated a short distance from the breathtaking North Cornwall coast with many stunning beaches to enjoy, including Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth Beach, along with magnificent views and cliff top walks. The iconic Fistral Beach is just 8 miles distant whilst the town boasts many restaurants and bars, a zoo and superb aquarium. A short drive away you will find Padstow, the popular fishing port, with its busy quay, narrow streets, galleries, cafés, boutique shops and, of course, award-winning restaurants serving the finest seafood dishes. Beach 2½ miles.
