Nan-Tis - Reviews

This is a great cottage very good value for money. A couple of things that woud make it prefect - it should be made clear is that no towels are provided, there was no mention of this and I did not realise that it was not included until we arrived. The second thing is some new pillows in the upstairs double bed would make that bed more comfortable. Other than these small points, the cottage was very good value, cosy and clean, a great place to visit.

Lovely cottage. Fire is really good on the cold nights. Just needs WiFi. As phone signal is very poor in the area(even outside the house). Would definitely stay again.

The cottage looks really lovely, it is in a very quiet location but we found lots of issues with it. Definately NOT an enclosed garden! as was advertised, very low walls that children can escape and certianly not dog proof had to go outside with her on the lead at all times :( The age of the house means that the door latches half are broken and some doors slammed we are very glad our grandson did not come in the end as I can see that his fingers could have got caught very easily! Upstairs the floors are very wonky, felt like you were sea sick and our father in law who is not too steady on his feet found it hard. The amenties failed to have basic items such as matches if we wanted to lit the open fire! Kettle very old hard to get lid off at times, and tea pot old and stained, no milk jug for the cream tea? Also trying to cook for a large number the pots are just not big enough it needed one large pan. Most of the "equipment" under the stairs is borken we were going to use a fold up chair and lucky we checked it first! The staior gate was ancient. managed to work it but it would not shut propely but enough to keep dog from going upstairs! Really in desperate need of refurbishing and providing newer items. Location was good although there is just one pub in the village and nothing else but does woderful food at the ring o bells. Very odd peice of land at the back between the cottage and the farmers land as their dog literally was howling at the back for our female dog which was funny at first but became a nusiance as the week worte on especially as part of the fencing is broken. The front and back garden is not sperated and there are stone steps so you MUST watch your children they will not be free to roam about unsupervised, and also can get out of the garden through gaps or the low walls! Sadly we wont book again as it was dissapointingly not as advertised.

Very nice cottage, full of character but let down by a few issues; - no WiFi, no excuse in this day and age - no towels provided. This isn’t made explicit at time of booking - need to be made clear in cottage information (or provide them like any other cottage in a similar price range)

Old farmhouse. Close-ish to Camel Trail. Plenty of outside space.
