Boasting lovely sea views this charming miner’s cottage lies in Pendeen, a heritage village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. At the end of a row, Haddock’s End has been renovated to a good standard with space for you to relax.
Close to the coastal path, Haddock’s End is an ideal base to experience the rugged beauty of Cornwall at its best, offering excellent activities such as walking, swimming, fishing, scuba diving, surfing and rock climbing. Pendeen Watch Lighthouse and the beautiful sandy beach at Portherras Cove are a 10-minute walk away, where seals can be seen playing in the surf.
Pendeen, in the heart of ’Poldark country’, and near the home of Rosamunde Pilcher, has a village store and a real ale pub within walking distance from the house. Nearby watch the sun setting over the sandy cove at Sennen, experience outdoor productions at the Minack Theatre, buy fresh fish from the fishermen at Newlyn or visit the Tate St Ives National Gallery. Children will love to explore the historic mines, pan for colourful minerals at Geevor Mine and see the beam engine in action at Levant Mine. Shop ¼ mile.
Beautiful family vacation restful fun and just chilling out on the beaches Felt refreshed and relaxed by end of week . The photo was taken from the master bedroom couldn’t be better waking up to this and having a cuppa .. Difficult to want to get out of bed ...
Very clean comfortable cottage with plenty to see and do in the vicinity. Lovely coastal scenery nearby.
Our stay August, 2019
The cottage was wonderful and had everything we needed. Having dishwashing supplies and a pint of milk (and a bottle of wine!) to start us off was much appreciated. The only issue we had was the beds - the mattresses were uncomfortable.
