Elvander is a large, detached property that has recently been refurbished, providing comfort and modern conveniences to make your holiday memorable.
There is parking at the front of the property for at least five cars, the bus and rail links are great so you can explore the areas without the stress of finding a parking space! There is a large garden to the rear where you can relax with a drink, have an alfresco meal or lounge in the sun. At the bottom of the garden is a pond with a small waterfall, sitting out here, you could be in the middle of the country with the noise from the birds, the outside lighting allows you to stay out longer and enjoy the peace well into the evening. The second toilet is outside. Illogan Highway is a small town on the A30 west of Redruth, close to Camborne, the area is littered with disused tin mines. The Great Flat Lode Trail is a 7. 5-mile multi use route that encircles Carn Brea, the hill overlooks the industrial towns of Redruth and Camborne, here you will see the remains of the large engine houses with their tall chimneys.
After a long day out and you don’t fancy cooking, pop to the local chip shop along the road, or choose one of the two local pubs. There are supermarkets within walking distance to the property. For those that like shopping head over to Falmouth about half an hour away, here you will find local shops, an array of restaurants, cafés, pubs, and the National Maritime Museum. Enjoy a cold drink whilst you watch the large ships in the harbour, or wander around the cobbled streets, comfortable shoes are a must! Whilst you’re here why not go to Pendennis Castle, formerly a fortress built by Henry VIII, set on a headland the scenery is stunning, walk around the moat or stroll along the coast paths admiring the view. There is so much to see and do, you will be booking another visit as soon as you go home! Beach 3 miles.
