Stayed in Dartmoor 3 ( private owned ) for a week in Easter Holidays. Arrived to a set out cream tea and Easter egg for each of the kids. Very thoughtful and a great touch after a long journey! Was cold and had issues with heating and it took a while to sort out as it had to be reset upstairs. Once that was sorted though it was cozy. Fully equipped kitchen and good size fridge with 3 freezer drawers - so a full shop fitted easily. Bed comfortable and hot tub a bonus! Site itself - bar and restaurant fantastic. Food was great value for money and all the staff were so lovely! I have to say all the staff were really friendly and happy to chat - really makes a difference. Had a laugh with Lee too who ran the entertainment. Outside pool wasn’t open yet but inside pool was. This would be my only criticism of the park. Very dated pool area - you have toddler pool which was smaller than main pool. Main area still small and not deep at all which is great for younger kids but not for mine who are all accomplished swimmers aged 7-15. Since you couldn’t swim we took a small beanbag today to play catch but that wasn’t allowed nor was the blow up croc either. Kids were therefore bored which was a shame. We usually visited the pool after a day out so we didn’t need it for entertainment it was just a nice end to the day for the kids but after two days the older two didn’t bother. Youngest did cut her foot in the smaller pool quite badly but the staff dealt with it quickly and efficiently even asking the next day how she was so were genuine in their concern. I know they are looking into the area it happened. Area is a great location and I’d not hesitate to stay in this lodge again. Below is a picture from this morning ( no filter on it) on our private decking area and what the hot tub overlooks.
