Adjoining the owner’s home this spacious semi-detached property is set in the pretty little hamlet of Herodsfoot surrounded by countryside and close by woodland walks through Deerpark Forest. To the rear is a ⅓-acre paddock ideal for exercising your dogs, with a little summerhouse at the top with lovely views across the village and the church. The interior is bright and airy with modern furnishings and the living room has French doors opening onto a patio area with table chairs and a little lawned area with seating. Beatrice Cottage is perfect for families or couples of all ages at all times of the year. It is in a great location tucked away in the countryside, yet just 7 miles from the popular fishing village of Looe, and a little further along the coast to Polperro, Fowey and Mevagissey. The Eden Project and National Trust’s Lanhydrock House are within easy reach. Shop pub and restaurant 3 miles.
Slightly difficult to find initially due to misty drizzle and small sign but otherwise perfect! Good cream tea welcome and really comfortable, clean and well equipped.
Cottage is very clean, comfortable, functional & pretty. All you need is food/toiletries. Only criticism is the stairs are very narrow/steep. Beautiful scenery. Location not great, extremely narrow lanes & no local amenities. It is quiet & peaceful. Owners nextdoor, but were away.
Cathey & Peter the cottage owners are great, very helpful & friendly. Cottage has everything you would ever want, a true home from home. we will go back.
Cottage fantastic as usual. Just a shame that the arrival and departure day was Friday as this made travelling horrendous. Would not travel on a Friday again. Other that that great break even if the weather was not favorable.
We had such a relaxing holiday at Beatrice Cottage. Cathy & Pete were great hosts and went over and above to ensure we had everything we needed. We were greeted by an amazing cream tea on arrival which was very welcome and really delicious. Would highly recommend the cottage to anyone wanting a complete chill-out location. Great local walks and nearby forests. Not far from Looe.
