Set just 50 yards from the east-facing sandy beach of Gorran Haven, this cosy family cottage has been renovated in 2022 and includes new electric radiators, a modern, well-equipped kitchen and a shower room with a large shower cubicle with rainfall shower and hand held shower, and accommodates up to 6 guests. The outhouse serves as a bike store and also includes a second fridge/freezer. It is one of four converted from a pair of Victorian dwellings and makes an ideal destination for a traditional seaside holiday.
Adjacent to the South Cornwall Coastal Path, which leads to some of the most awe-inspiring cliff and beach walks in Cornwall, and the work of the National Trust allows visitors easy access to the headland. Picturesque Mevagissey, the Georgian harbour of Charlestown, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project and Caerhay’s Castle are all within easy driving distance. Also in easy reach are facilities for golf, tennis, surfing, sailing and sea fishing. There is an excellent fish and chip shop/restaurant nearby. Shops and post office 50 yards and pub/restaurant ½ mile.
Super break away in Gorran Haven. Simply a stunning little place if you want a complete break from the daily rush! The beach is super with the Mermaid Cafe perched on the edge supplying endless mugs of hot chocolate. The chip shop is a must and so is the nearby hotel, The Llandroc which has very attentive staff and delicious food. We will certainly be back to The Gables!
Our stay November, 2019
A really lovely place to stay! Very pet friendly with a porch to dry our dog off before going in. Unfortunately the weather was very wet most of the week. having a washing machine helped, but for a large family like ours, a tumble dryer would have made a huge difference. There’s no real parking at the property but the public car park wasn’t far away ( and only £24 for the week). The box of biscuits on arrival was very welcome too! Very well equipped for a family holiday and on the beach in less than thirty seconds- would really recommend 😀
