This detached holiday cottage sits in the shadow of the picturesque village church. Originally a blacksmith’s workshop, it is situated close to the owners’ former coaching house. It is just a few hundred yards from the village pub, with walks from the front door through the Cornish countryside including The Saints Way, which passes close to the holiday cottage. Visit the many attractions that this area has to offer, including the picturesque harbours of Fowey, Looe and Mevagissey, Lanhydrock, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the famous Eden Project. Farm shop a short walk away, pub/restaurant 500 yards.
We have stayed at the cottage for a few years always a warm welcome, on hand for Eden Centre, local pubs with excellent choice of meals, not far from Fowey, Bodmin.
A great cottage for the milder months, not sure about the winter.
We had a very warm welcome on arrival and enjoyed a cream tea which had been left for us. The cottage was very clean and homely.
Well presented property and immaculately clean. Based on previous experience this is amazing, just silly things like the power of the shower and the efficiency of the cooker, but overall it was the perfect property for us.
Lovely cottage in small, peaceful village. The reclining chairs were a very welcome feature. Hosts friendly and helpful. Good walks locally also near the coast and various attractions. Good food in the local pub, also 2 farm shops nearby for local produce. Recommended for a peaceful getaway for a couple.
Lovely cottage and surroundings. Idealy located for visiting local landmarks.
Lovely little cottage with friendly helpful owners who also provided us with a lovely cream tea upon arrival. Couldn't fault the place, would highly recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet.
The cottage was absolutely perfect, it was spotlessly clean and well equiped and in a great location for a quiet few days celebrating our honeymoon. We were greeted on our first day by Allen and Jackie who were charming and most helpful giving us great advice for our trips out. The local pub The Crown Inn only a minutes walk away, had some great history and we were really made to feel welcome by the staff and regulars. The food and local ales were top class, we really enjoyed the whitebait and steaks and wanted to go back for more. Overall the cottage and surroundings were wonderful and we would definitely love to stay there again.
We had a great few days, very welcome cream tea on arrival with home made scones. Very nice! Parking is a bit tricky - there should be instructions on the best way to drive into the space in the directions that are provided before arrival. Very cute and cosy cottage, recommended.
