This quaint little traditional cottage, with beams and low doorways, overlooks the hamlet ‘green’, sharing a pleasant slate pathed courtyard with the owner’s holiday home. Less than a mile away is Tintagel, renowned for its Arthurian connections, with its dramatic coastline, romantic castle ruins, exquisite Old Post Office and wide choice of restaurants. Trebarwith Strand, 2. 5 miles, has a delightful sandy cove and restaurant/bar. Pretty fishing villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac and indoor swimming pool at Camelford, all within 7 miles. Bude, Newquay, Wadebridge and Bodmin Moor all easily accessible. Walking and cycling on Camel Trail, 5 miles, golf and fishing locally. Restaurant and bar 2. 5 miles.
I normally stay on the south coast or cornwall but decided to stay on the north coast for a change and i wasn't disappointed , pillar box cottage was your typical country style cottage very quaint and cozy
Lovely cosy quaint little cottage with original features. Great communication from owner. Good base for exploring.
For comfort and equipment we can only rate a 6. The living room chairs were quite uncomfortable. The freezer door was broken and the DVD player in the tv didn’t work.
Our stay September, 2019
Had a beautiful week stay at Pillarbox cottage for our honeymoon. Absolutely beautiful cottage that was perfect in every way. Highly recommend.
