Very cosy, terraced granite cottage with magnificent views over the picturesque harbour of Newlyn and spectacular Mounts Bay. The holiday cottage is Grade II listed, has a romantic setting and retains many original features including beamed ceilings and wooden curved stairs. There is an enclosed cobbled courtyard to the rear. Penzance, the Newlyn Art Gallery and Mousehole are close by. Shops 400 yards, pubs 50 yards, restaurant 100 yards.
Excellent views and very cosy cottage. Would have liked xmas decorations as we stayed so close to xmas. Shower pressure was not good. All in all though, a very nice break overlooking fabulous Newlyn harbour and close to Mousehole and Penzance which was very handy.
Pen Camneves was a delightful small cottage. Our first impressions on entering were very positive with a very home from home feeling about the property. Decoration was in keeping with the type of cottage hired, it was clean and well stocked with thought out items that may have been useful on a daily basis. It had everything we were looking for in a holiday home. We enjoyed a very relaxing few days and will certainly consider returning at some future date.
A beautiful quaint old fisherman’s cottage with modern facilities . The kitchen was very well equipped. Plenty of Wardrobe and drawer space in bedroom. Everywhere was spotless. Unfortunately due to daily rain we were unable to make use of the secluded garden. Mousehole and Penzance were both in easy walking distance for us. There are also many beautiful coves and beaches waiting to be discovered. Gill had very kindly left milk and tea bags for our arrival but more importantly she had spoilt us with a cream tea. What more could you want after a 6 hour journey. This is definitely one for the “to do list”
definitely worth the 8 hour drive. instantly felt at home. so well equipped.
Pros: Clean, plenty of cooking equipment and utensils, cosy, great view of harbour, parking space. Cons: Tired, in need of tlc, garden shared with neighbour (not advertised as such), tiny TV, wasp magnet tree over covered seating area making it unusable, care needed stepping out of front door as directly on main road, some areas of decoration seem unfinished...a sheet of plasterboard cut too small in bedroom by wardrobe but installed anyway leaving a gap so big you could touch the brickwork behind! Overall we enjoyed the stay but could’ve been better.
We had a great time, the cottage is really lovely with outstanding views over the harbour.the bed is snug and comfortable, with a big bathroom. We would highly recommend for sight seeing in this part of the country.THe A and E dept. Is also outstanding at Penzance.......broke my wrist.....they really looked after me.......what more could you want!!!
Second visit just as amazing as the first. We absolutely love it here best holiday we have had for a long time ?
We enjoyed a comfortable 4 days in this lovely old cottage. Bed and bedding was wonderful and we had everything we needed . A mention must go to The Red Lion pub about 3 minutes away. Wonderful friendly bar staff and very good food.
