This contemporary, semi-detached holiday property is superbly located in the little coastal village of Downderry, on the South Cornwall coast. The property is ideal for families with children looking for a lovely, summer beach holiday, whilst also being warm and cosy in the winter months. Dogs are welcome, and the beach at Downderry, which is just a 5-minute walk, is dog friendly throughout the entire year. Heading west along the coast is Looe, a popular fishing village with a sandy beach, pubs, cafes and shops. Here, you can also fish, go crabbing or take a boat trip from the quay. Enjoy a traditional Cornish cream tea overlooking the sea at Talland Bay or explore Polperro, with its narrow streets and pretty cottages nestling around the harbour. East from Downderry is the coastal road to Rame Head with spectacular views overlooking Whitsand Bay, a 5-mile stretch of sand and rocks. Beach ¼ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
Really lovely house, spotless, five minutes walk from the beach. Basic shop in the village, pubs and a cafe, we really enjoyed our time in Downderry. Thank you!
Really lovely cottage, extremely well equipped although newer model tv's would have been nice, plus maybe a dvd player in the lounge. Easy to find, we had a great stay and would love to return.
Very good clean and well equipped
An excellent base. A real home from home. Well equipped. Spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location, the beach is a 6 minute walk and the pub is 10 minutes. The house really has everything you need and is in a really lovely village. The beach is great for walking your dogs. its dog friendly all year round I would definately book this place again and will be recommending to friends
Lovely place garden a little disappointing and lighting in the kitchen could do with being better difficult to see what you were doing when it got dark outside
Amazing house very well kept and maintained. Would recommend it.
Moby house is a clean, well equipped holiday home in Downderry, close to local beach, pub and local shop. Nice walks from Moby house for all the family. Some distance from larger attractions and sandy beaches.
Was a really relaxed week with 6 adults and 1 baby at Patrick’s house in Downderry. The house was well equipped and has a lovely decked garden space. There is building of some houses opposite but it wasn’t a problem or noisy during our stay.
House was spotlessly clean. It was furnished, decorated, and equipped to a very high standard. There were thoughtful touches from the owner (letter and welcome pack). There was building work going on opposite, but didn't bother us as we went out every day. No noise at night. Very close to large beach (you can see the sea from the property). We would certainly stay there again.
Lovely place just what we needed short stroll to the beach and our old dog Buster loved the walk to Seaton for ice cream ?
A relaxing and comfortable stay at Moby.
Ideal for a short break. Great beach for dog walking and fantastic local pub.
House picture is misleading and does not give the impression that it is actually on a housing estate. The patio doors .....All of them are FILTHY AND BY THE LOOKS OF THINGS HAVE NOT BEEN CLEANED IN A LONG TIME INCLUDING THE FACIAS AND SURROUNDS.....ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Neighbours not particularly friendly the only thing in the house's favour is that it is only 5 mins from the beach which is great for our dog who loves the sea . Would I stay here again.......NOT IN A MONTH OF SUNDAYS....YOU COULDN'T PAY ME ENOUGH TO STAY HERE...... I could write "clean me" on the windows and it is really clear to see.!!!! I hate negative reviews but this house deserves it.
Our stay February, 2020
Lovely, clean and well equipped holiday home. Excellent location for beach walks, good pub and restaraunt nearby. We would happily holiday at Moby house again.
