Penzance is the most westerly town in Cornwall, nestled in the stunning area of Mounts Bay, home to the Scillonian Ferry that crosses to the Scilly Isles. The seafront has an outdoor swimming pool, a pebble and sand beach as well as a harbour. Wandering around the town you will find beautiful sub-tropical gardens, cobbled alleyways and a wide selection of restaurants, cafés, bars and there are three play parks for children near the property.
If you want to leave your car, hop on one of the local buses or catch the train and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Newlyn is the next small village, famous for its Christmas lights and the story of the Mousehole cat, great for a stroll along the harbour. The most southerly point of the country is Lands’ End which is just over 9 miles away. Here you can walk along the cliffs, pop into the visitor centre, shops and attractions, it is a fantastic day for all ages and well worth a visit. There are plenty of beaches to choose from, the closest being the Promenade beach in Penzance. Other beaches that are popular with families are Long Rock and Marazion beach, both having long sandy beaches with parking and amenities. Beach ½ mile.
