Hillview Cottage - Facilities
This lovely little terraced cottage is perfect for a small family or even just a couple. Hillview Cottage is the middle cottage in a row of three, set in a rural location yet just a few minutes from the pretty little seaside village of Millendreath. Situated next door to the owners’ home, the interior is cosy and well decorated with pretty furnishings throughout. The cottage offers a patio to the front and a garden to the side, complete with a summerhouse with views to surrounding fields. The sloping garden has fruit trees at the far end, and the summerhouse is a lovely quiet place to sit out and relax – a real suntrap!
Millendreath boasts a small south facing beach in a sheltered cove, popular with families in the summer with rock pools to explore at low tide. There is also the Black Rock Cafe, which has a bar with outside seating and heaters, bistro and takeway service. Enjoy a walk along the South West Coast Path to Looe to spend a sunny day on Plaidy beach, or for family fun why not visit the Monkey Sanctuary? The owner supplies guests with a pass for the Looe Bay Holiday Park to use during your stay, 500 yards, where there is a swimming pool, evening entertainment, shop and an arcade. Canoe and kayak hire, and paddle boarding are available nearby. Beach ½ mile. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. Cream tea, fizz and some local beer were all waiting for our arrival. There was even a dog bed, towell, poo bags, biscuits and balls for the pooch. Very peaceful location with lots of wildlife to spot. We would highly recommend and will definitely plan a return trip sometime in the future. Joy

This cottage is really lovely. It was clean when we arrived and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. The location is very well situated for exploring Cornwall with the lovely town of Looe just a 5 minute drive. Millendreath has a lovely beach just a 10 minute walk down the road. The owners of the Cottage are very nice people we received a card with all the contact numbers on and they phoned me a week before we were due to make sure I didn’t have any special requests. Can’t recommend this cottage enough

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was exactly as in the photos and a real home from home. Hosts and welcome pack were great and it really was 'more than dog friendly'. Hillview is great if you want a beach holiday, a base to explore the area or just somewhere to relax. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return.

On arrival we were welcomed by scones, beer, Prosecco, J2O, crabbing net and bucket, milk, tea, cereal and biscuits. This was a lovely surprise after a long drive! The cottage was clean and well maintained and we felt at home very quickly.

Hill view cottage was spotlessly clean and a wonderful place to spend a holiday. The welcome we received from Michelle, Kevin and Katie was excellent and we didn't want for anything. The cottage itself is clean, cosy and very comfortable in a wonderfully quiet setting with a great little garden for the kids to run around in but also really close to the beach and a bar restaurant. For food shopping there is a little Spar shop about 3 minutes drive away and then Looe is only 10 minutes drive. The beaches are nice and sandy but a little busy at times although the atmosphere is good. There are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area and the cottage makes a fantastic base without having to drive far. All in all an outstanding experience and we would definitely recommend Hillview cottage.

This is a lovely old cottage and we had a wonderful week there. Michelle was an excellent host who provided loads of thoughtful touches (just enough dish washer & washing machine tablets, Nespresso machine with pods, a lovely cream tea set and bottle of wine on arrival, bath bombs & toiletries - all very thoughtful!). My two girls loved hanging out in the garden room in the field, and the dog loved the outdoor space. The house is decorated tastefully and the kitchen has everything you need. Michelle's daughter and partner were just next door and also made us feel very welcome. Thoroughly recommend a stay at Hillview.

My wife and I really loved staying at the cottage and everything was pretty much there ready for us. The decor is lovely and the cottage was spotless on arrival. We would highly recommend this picturesque cottage as a great base for exploring Cornwall.

Beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings. 10 mins walk from the beach which the dog could have free roam on . Perfect base to explore Cornwall and the little detail in the cottage are very appreciated ( doggie welcome pack , toiletries and a lovely cream tea as a welcome definitely recommend

Had a lovely stay at Hillview despite terrible weather. Welcome pack for us and our dog Alfie was lovely to find. In good weather it would be a perfect spot with lots of nature around and lovely walks. However in bad weather could be a bit isolated as a bit of a walk to a pub. Taxis are available though and we used them. We made good our stay and got out every day and made the most of our holiday. The cottage was clean, warm and welcoming and we would return again... in the summer.
